SpaceCruiser I now don't like Charlton anymore. Bastards.

What a bizarre statement.

That's Spacey for you. In his mind Lita aiming a headbutt at someone and being caught by Sky camera's is Charlton's fault and no fault of the Reading player involved.

Actually, it was that Charlton player feigning the injury who was to blame for this fiasco.

No. I think it was Lita for giving him the opportunity to feign inury.

Oh, so, you think it's perfectly ok for the Charlton player to cheat?

Lita gave him the opportunity, and I have seen many Reading players do the same over the years.

Royal Lady  Idiot.

Only beaten on the day by that even bigger idiot Graham Poll!

Now that is someone even I could be tempted to head-butt.

Sometimes I wish we were like Chelski. We should have gone on the offensive and made a big fuss about Mr Poll's secret (at the time) arrangement with Pardew.

Having let Poll off the hook, he could have at least done the decent thing and acknowledged that the video of the 'head-butt' was no better evidence of guilt/an offence than what his eyes made of the push on Long!

As for the FA - once again they prove what a useless bunch of effing merchants they are.

Being nice, decent, sporting Reading and making no fuss about officials, other teams etc. does us no favours at all when it comes to the FA. They only respond to the threats, bullying tactics, big talk etc. of the likes of Warnock and Mourinho.

unfortunately, id have to say the ban is fair, you cant lean your head in towards somebody with about 10 cameras watching. it was stupidity. but id also like the fa to start looking at such incedents, and start more harshly punishing the ridiculous dramatization by El Kak. if if leroy made contact. it was as light as anything and i counted 3-4 rolls from him on the ground. his reaction was laughable. and was only intended on doing one thing. trying to convince the ref that leroy had absoulutely floored him. its a disgrace

In some ways I hope that Charlton stay up so that we can get the cheat sent off next season.

On the other hand, maybe getting a weekly and very real kicking each week in the lower divisions will be a better form of poetic justice.

According to the OS Sir Steve still maintains (correctly IMO) that the video evidence was inconclusive.

I'm not sure how he is going to reconcile that view with what is reported on the BBC website.

"However, the Royals boss had pledged that the club would also punish Lita if he was found guilty of ill-discipline by the FA."

That's not what he said, he said "I'd punish him myself if i thought he was guilty"

The FA always bleat on about not being able to deal with incidents that the ref has dealt with. Well, Karkouri's death roll wasn't dealt with by Poll. So why not charge him with Bringing the Game into Disrepute and ban the bastard?

I might be wrong but I don't think they can at the moment. I may be confusing some of the in's and out's of what they can use video evidence for though.

Aren't they requesting permission to use video evidence to deal with diving/simulation/cheating, call it what you will, next season?

Because technically he's done nothing wrong.

I believe so but you can't really go and ban a player for a headbutt and then ban the bloke who he supposedly hit for getting hit.

The rule change you're thinking off will be to catch players who have dived for pens like Zokora early in the year.

I reckon you'd stand a decent chance with an unsporting behaviour or "simulation" charge.

Hard to prove admitedly, but a little common sense should prevail at some point.
