BBc Berkshire post Fulham

by Schards#2 » 14 Apr 2007 18:00

I listened in the car from about 5.05 to 5.35 and would not have believed it possible for someone to talk so much b0llocks in the space of just half an hour. If that tripe is the best the BBC has to offer then I hope they give the contract to 107fm next year.

Utter gash.

Any particular reason for the outburst ?

Because Joel, who is normally quite sensible, was spouting a load of complete bollox, including that drawn matches should be decided by the same type of penalty shoot-out things that the kids do at half-time.

So, Joel, just enlighten us how that would have helped today - as this wasn't a drawn match!

Tim/Joel or whoever he is just prattled on like some gimp who'd never been to a game in his life.

- players are paid too much
- the players have a duty to make each game as entertaining as possible
- players should only be paid if they win
- draws should be decided by shoot outs from the half way line

and that just what I can remember.

As I said, utter gash and if that's the best incicive comment he can come up with he should make way for someone, anyone else. Felt sorry for Gooding having to respond to this load of balls.

I dont think he should get paid, just because his commentary is rubbish.

TBH it is a touch stale these days, some very poor English pre match, and they named the possible teams three time in 20 mins from 2-30, trouble is it sounds as though they have nothing to say and are filling space.

PS should this not be in BBC Berks section?

First two points could also apply to BBC Berks presenters, in fact the third could be linked to ratings.

Me and Jerry St Clair could do it. I can talk from a womanly perspective - like "how do you know if it's offside" and Jerry can just moan a lot, whilst standing up in the studio.

Should you not be putting on your face for the night out?

Agree 100%

This is the sort of nonsense that turned me away from Talksport a few years back, and does make Joel Hufford sound a little stupid.

Poor Mick Gooding was lost for words at some of the more ridiculous comments

To be fair, Mick Gooding doesn't know anything about Reading these days and has to be reminded what all our players names are.

Joel seemed to be backtracking with comments like "contraversial opinions make interesting radio discussion" No Joel you just sound like a pratt, stick to being a cheerleader.

End of the day, Mick Gooding knows what he is talking about and Joel Hufford knows nothing.

I will be listening to 107 from now on. I just hope the players werent listening to that cock.

something was wrong today. Didnt see him talking such rubbish in previous seasons when were losing and had loads of boring matches.

JOEL HUFFORD OUT! Any fan in the stadium today could do a better job.
