zac naloen Does that make it official that Mclaren is an idiot then?

I'll bet it was McLaren who took in the "New Zealand Method" and "Stockdale Paradox" hook line and sinker...

Coppell's Right Footed 11 More information keeps appearing in my memory from last night.

Interesting point for all those who rate Shorey...im in this boat BTW.

England scouts 'HAVE' watched Shorey on numerous occasions, and feel is a quality player and have recommended him tho McClaren upteen times this season.

However Mr.McClaren has ignored the opinions of his scouts everytime and hasn't even bothered to look at Shorey... :!:

No surprises there! This is a man who's only success was to get a team thrashed in the Uefa cup final. And he only got there by having the tactical genius to play with 4 forwards for the last 10 minutes when you're losing a cup tie.

Surely everyone knows about the New Zealand method and so it doesn't need explaining!

The key bit seems to be
You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end – which you can never afford to lose – with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be
Coppellesque stuff indeed.

I think I've worked out this New Zealand method now, took a bit of thinking. But makes perfect sense.

Coppell's Right Footed 11 Was happy with the stadium expansion and said Nigel how pointed out the ground could of been sold out 4 times over for the Liverpool game.

Well lets think about this for a moment. we took 35k to wembley in 95 when we had an average attendence of what? 13k? thats about 2 and a half times. so we're already looking at about 60k currently. add in the fact that plenty of people who want to go to games normally can't go, that adds say 10k. so plus 35k in total for big game syndrome.

95k.

100k isn't that far fetched for a one off game like that.

It's not that far-fetched really, in these days of TV-adoration of the big clubs.

The question no-one is asking is just how many of that 100k would be there to watch Reading.....

He also said to expect movement in and out in the Central Defensive area in the close season...
