Maguire Why the fcuk did he go in on the Bolton keeper today? More stupidity from Mr Hunt.

He was going for the ball, the keeper stood still and Hunt couldn't move out the way.

Ridiculous fall though from the keeper, he's been watching too much of Diouf.

LOL

Reading player goes in pointlessly late on a keeper who has gathered the ball, clatters him, and is rightfully cautioned.

Reading fans then claim Hunt couldn't move out of the way and that the keeper playacted

Deary me.

I haven't seen the incident yet but it doesn't exactly sound career ending. I'm of the opinion that if you can unsettle the oppositions goalkeeper then you should take every opportunity to do it so long as you don't go in deliberately trying to cause injury. I personally can't wait for the next Hunty Vs Lehman battle next year.

Was it like this (pretend Hunt was the keeper)?

No?

Worse things happen at sea then.

Daniella A year ago I was one of his biggest crititcs, I plainly didn't think he had the talent or potential to be good enough for the prem, but damn i've been proved wrong.

Gives 110% every game, never phased by the stature of players he's paired against, never afraid to try the out of the ordinary, always looking to take people on, comfortable with his own ability and never shy's from a tackle. I generally believe his touch and crossing has improved and I hope it continues.
He sums up for me why we are making huge leaps forward in progession.

Was the centre of a lot of all things good again today, and delighted he got a goal.

Same, and totally agree.

Right up there with Doyle and Ivar for player of the season OMHO.

Thought he was crap today, as were most of the team until Long came on to be honest. Pleased for him that he got a goal, but this thread is ridiculous.

You don't have to play well to win, today was an example of this.
Sometimes we don't know when we've lost.

That helped today.

Sometimes Steve Coppell makes inspired substitutions when the players on the pitch aren't performing - that always helps.

Watch MOTD later, you'll be taking that back. He could have got out of the way of the keeper and clattered into him pretty hard, the keeper went down naturally enough.

GOOD. You don't fancy physical contact? Take up netball. Ponce.

Don't be stupid, his comment doesn't even make sense.

Hunt made a stupid decision and the keeper went down due to being off balance whilst picking up the ball. Having his center of gravity closer to the ground as a result, it wasn't a dive. He didn't make meal of it, he went down naturally. An easy yellow for the ref seeing as Hunt could easily have side-stepped.

A yellow card?

Repeat after me,

a
yellow
card.

The way you're moaning, bitching and whining about it,
I expect the back pages to be full of this 'incident' tomorrow, but I doubt it.

I agree that it was a silly stupid challenge and i agree that the keeper had no choise but to fall over, but did you also see the keepers leg kick out at hunt as he went down.

I've seen them given for less.

He ran into a keeper who had the ball in his hands. SIMPLE YELLOW CARD.

I can't even understand what I'm supposed to be bitching and moaning about, you're the one complaining that something was given against him

Have to agree with that, he does himself no favours at all sometimes. I am getting somewhat concerned with the fact that opposition fans and players are looking out for him. I don't want a Robbie Savage pantomime villain type player amongst our ranks, that's not what we're all about.

However - his energy and enthusiasm is vital to what we are all about at this moment in time. He's been a key player this season having been a bit part last time out. He won't get my player of the season vote personally, but if there was a most improved player vote you'd be better off weighing his ballot papers. Top effort.

All this talk of Hunt's bad behaviour is fine - but how many yellow cards has this f*cking animal got this season?

Exactly. He's actually a very well behaved chap. So Maguire et al, you can go f*ck yourselves
