I know the debate was had a few weeks ago just when I was unable to contribute, but for me Shorey should be called up by England.

In that thread I observed a good number of contributors saying he just isn't good enough. Well Doyle, Hunt and Long have shown themselves capable of performing well at International level and I see no reason at all why Shorey couldn't do the same.

Those were the announcers on the game over here on FSC. Even when we tied it 1-1 they were saying 'you really won't see to many of the Reading midfielders pressing forward now. They are happy to get out of here with a point.' Ha! They don't know Reading very well! i love the way Coppell never settles for a tie and always goes all out to win every game!
