Daniella Disaster, a real blow. Easily loose the first 3 and set the tone for the rest of the season. Worst possible start EVER. Signings we need coppell.

Can say if we don't have our 40 by the last 6, we will be in trouble. It seems the premiership last season didnt realise we would stay up, now they decided to punish us. no real opporunities to get on any runs. glad we don't have europe.

Arch No worries whatever here. I look at that fixture list and very few games make me quake. I don't mind the first two. Good to get them out of the way, and if we get a point or two (never mind three) out of them then that's a huge bonus.
People who still look at Everton home and Bolton away as reasons for wailing and gnashing of teeth don't understand where we are. These are bread and butter games for us. We'd hope realistically to get four points.

Dirk Gently The other side of the coin is that if we win against either of them it'll set us up mentally for a great season.
And both teams will likely have a host of new, expensive, signings to try and fit in, so this could be the best time of all to play them.

We lost 2 of our first 3 last season. Did that set the tone for the season?
Results against Chelsea & Man Utd are not going to shape our season whether we play them in the first week or not.

the best time to play them is during the champions league matches in april

But as we're not even in the champions league this year that won't happen

I can't see a win in the first few games tho, be lucky for 1 point out of the first 3, 2 less than we had last season at the same stage. We'll see how we do though. I'm just gutted by a hard start and at this stage we have no signings and we are weaker than last season, we need to start getting people in. Get in ruel fox as cover for glen little, anyone at all.

This time we are in a far more favourable position that we know the majority of our first team can cut it at Premiership level unlike last season when we had no idea.

This mentality saw west ham and wigan nearly go down. One successful season in the prem does not mean your players are established premiership class players. We have got to be careful and I hope coppell reminds the players of where they have come from and how they need to keep proving it. We will have learnt a lot from last season but I still think its going to be far tougher than people expect. I think sidwell's absence is going to hurt us a lot more than people think.
