You'll change your mind when you get a problem that means you need to reinstall windows to fix. Knitting a browser so closely to the OS is a very dumb thing to do.

OS currently advertising information about Wycombe Wanderers with links that don't work.

Is this an improvement?

Anyone notice the shit quality of the photos from the Korean tour so far? More like somebodys snaps with a disposable camera that they just found - surely the mighty Premiership Reading FC can afford a decent photographer to go on tour with them who knows which end of the lens is which.

If they'd have asked nicely, I'd have dropped everything and gone for them!

In fact, this photo is utterly shit. Its not even in focus. VERY poor, I wouldn't put pics that poor up on my site, I'd be embarassed!

I would hazard a guess that the photographer is having to struggle to get through the hoards of Korean photographers/journalists just to be able to get a sight of the Reading players and officials.

I would hazard a guess that he either doesn't know how to use his camera, or doesn't have the professional self respect not to publish poor quality photographs.

Considering it's a flat time of year, I think this is a huge improvement so far. A lot more content, a lot more pictures and a lot more videos. And who was it who was twittering about the fixture list? It's perfectly fine.

Good job, Craig!

All the quality photos that get posted to the OS generate no comments yet as soon as one slightly dodgy picture appears the photographer gets slated.

Must be HNA.

I'm sure people would react exactly the same way with any other professional publication/website. It's surely not unreasonable to expect high quality photos on the website of a top PL team.

Reckon the one in question would have been better consigned to the recycle bin to preserve the otherwise good reputation of the photographer.

I just tried to watch the River Plate highlights on Reading World but the quality was so poor it wasn't worth watching. I used to be able to watch highlights last season - although they were rather jerky at least they were worth viewing.

Is any one else having problems?

I tried pausing and waiting for a bit, as they suggest, but it wasn't much better.

Time to invest in a new PC then for you! Either that or get a faster speed net connection or not watch it via wifi.

The OS does say about leaving it a while before playing and appologises for the sound.

I will watch it later in bed via S-video on my tv.

Will say its a shame they havent put Setanta coverage on... at least the commentary is in English!

A photographer's job is to provide quality photos.
If he doesn't do that, he should get slated.
If you turn in crap quality work in your job, do people not complain?

If I turn in shit work my boss doesn't use it.

OS: We need a picture of SC in the media throng

Photographer: I've only got a shit one.

OS: Send it in anyway, we decide if it's good enough to publish.

Photographer: OK

But you can blame the photographer if you like.

I will, because any Tom Dick or Harry could have taken that picture.
Not a photographer.

Photography isn't always about getting the perfect image. It's sometimes just about getting an image good enough to support a particular story. This may well be the best the photographer could do given the circumstances. It might have been taken by an amateur and is the only photograph available. Think about the number of times you've seen amateur video footage shown on television, often from a mobile phone at very low resolution.

In most circumstances it's better to support a story with any image rather than none at all.

From what I've seen of your photography you've got a lot of talent and potential. Concentrate on that and don't be quite so quick to judge others.
