And now you're gonna believe us?????

by Millsy » 01 Mar 2008 17:32

Yeah yeah a swallow doesn't make a summer, but did I and the mere handful of other so called RTGs not say it's business as normal and anyone could win this?

RELAX

The corner has been turned.

We are the mighty Reading, with more passion, pride and enthusiasm to prove our place as the old boys of this division than anyone else here.

We've earned this position through 136 years of hurt and toil. And like I said we ain't gonna let it go easily. When it matters, we're there.

If we lose again, so what. The point is the boys have it in them, as some of us have been saying for while. Excuse me if this is a "I told you so" to almost the entirety of HNA, but I don't care after the stick us 'RTG's have received.

(BTW I notice Villa almost beat the Arse at home... put things into perspective perhaps?)

Not surprised in the slightest by this win, as I've said all along.

And now you're gonna believe uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussss....
The Royals are staying up!

Yes, and their next two games are Liverpool and Brum away. We'll be level on points with them if we beat Man City (who haven't got Micah Richards) IMO.

I would love it, just love it if they went down!

It wasnt pretty but it was definitely needed. The confidence that the team take from this is going to be huge. Has normal service been resumed now?

I take full credit for the win having polished my RTG's before the game. Never say die...

How's it in our own hands ? We're still in the bottom 3 so need others to drop points.

It's in our hands because if we have exactly the same record as Newcastle between now and the rest of the season, we only have to beat them to stay up.

It has often been posted that the 'doom-mongers' would be posting 'I told you so' in the event that we are relegated. How deliciously ironic then that we are getting the same now after ONE win. Yes, we won, yes, it is a great result, but if we start to take points for granted like '2 world wars, 1 world cup' has been for some time now, then it won't take long for things to start looking pants again.

Man City and Liverpool in our next two - a point from those two would normally be a good result, but we desperately need 3.

Therefore it isn't in our hands.

On a technicality couldn't they still get a better gd from their other games even if we beat them.
But what the heck - it won;t come down to that :)

I think the phrase 'it's in our hands' needs to be withdrawn in this case. Too many variables and too many games left this season to say anything of the sort yet...

Errrrr... yes it is. By saying it's in our hands generally means that we have the ability to stay up if we play at our best and win all :)) our games. So if we do that we will stay up. I've never doubted it  , and, yes, I will take the greatest delight in saying 'I told you so' to all the miserable b*stards who had us as going down befor Christmas.

Today's result was enormous. Football is a confidence game and maybe, just maybe, our confidence will be sky high. The players I mean, because certain fans would fall into a pot of curry and come out tasting of broccolli.

Errrrrrrrr... no it's not. Because even if we win all our games, Newcastle could win all theirs (except v us)and end up with a better gd than us.

Anyway, yipppeee we won.

Lads, it's too easy to point score...

If we beat any side between now and Derby away by more than 1 goal that would be great...

Let's leave the bull about 'I was right, you were wrong' behind....

Personally I always felt it, but WE CAN GET OUT OF THIS...
