holsgrove breaks a leg -looking back at the 7-4's 4-2's 3-0's early on in the season angers me from the point of few of several posters who applauded that we lost in such a fashion.....
Which particular fashion would you rather we had lost in?

Royal Rother The pursuit of actual points is far more important than goal difference - we had a never say die approach last season that did us proud, and were trying to replicate that this season; we consequently had some heavier defeats than perhaps necessary, but hell, an enteratining loss where we've had a real go at the opposition is far preferable to a narrow loss where we've played cautiously in my book.

Royal Rother We would still have lost. At least we were giving it a go - the mentality back then was positive, carried over from last season.
That approach gained us points during the last 2 seasons (not many this season I'll grant you) whereas when we set ourselves up for a shut-up-shop performance it just doesn't work for us (apart from Day 1).
