RoyalBlue I wish mods would stop combining threads just as I press to post!

I wish people would add to ongoing threads rather than start new ones.

To add to this I quote from the Daily Mail (which you can believe or not!!)
"I dont want to start talking about recriminations but everyone here has to take responsibility for what has happened"

Which,to my mind, speaks volumes about his leadership ability. In my book, and in all concept of management, the head man is fully responsible for what happens, whether good or bad, to the organisation. To publicly try to share out the blame is a sign of weakness and sounds just like politicians trying to dodge the flak. Let him do the recriminations within the Club not in public.

Ok now....

If all those slagging off Madjeski think they know how to do it better....why not all club together, buy the bloke out and have a go for yourselves....

This whole witchunt is frankly quite disturbing.

Mistakes have been made, yes, it's hardly the end of the world.

The way some people are talking it's as if we're on the verge of going out of business not possibly getting relegated whilst being financially stable and having a very rosy long-term future.

Royal & Ancient the head man is fully responsible for what happens

Was that your attitude this time two years ago? Or last year? Thought not.

Indeed. When things are going well, everybody gets praised.

Things go badly and suddenly it's either Madjeski's fault or Coppell's fault or Shorey's fault.

But then it's so much easier to blame than to praise.

My attitude has not changed. This is about leadership/management when the boss is responsible for what happens to his organisation and should take the credit/flak accordingly. He should examine what has gone wrong and take effective action within the business. Not expect to blame everyone else. This is what shoulders are for -a basic management concept about responsibility.

We were always going to get relegated at some point, it is inevitable. Clubs have spent far more than us and been relegated but it is what happens after relegation that is more important and will show how strong this club is.

wolsey
Spotters Badge Probably because he couldn't get players better than we have already on the wages that we were prepared to pay.

I agree - I heard JM on BBC Radio Berks, and it was difficult to hear what he was saying over the sound of running water as he washed his hands of the situation.

Funny how during the glory days he was more than willing to take centre stage and share the credit. Now things have gone distinctly pear-shaped he seems happier to let some other poor bugger get caught in the spotlight!

Nothing to do with the Chairman folks - he can make things go right but can't get things wrong!

I only hope that deep inside his bruised pride is giving him some severe jip and that he responds with steely determination to put things right in double quick time. Bleeding the fans dry on ticket prices whilst overseeing 'cutbacks' and other cost saving exercises that hamper his manager's (whoever that might be) ability to take on and beat the best (whichever division we are in) is not the way to do it.

No, he got a lot of credit and was more than happy to milk it. Now I'd like to hear him share responsibility and say what he thinks he got wrong this season.

This sounds great but really it's complete bullshit. first of all there is absolutely no way you believed that all the responsibility and hence all the praise was due to JM for our success. No way. Second, how absurd and what atrocious management would it be for the head of a troubled organization to just say "my bad" and not pay any attention to who might not have done their job in the system. All he's said is we'll have to examine where mistakes were made. But as countless threads on here are demonstrating, if you want to beat up on a figure at the club you don't like, any amount of twisting of the facts and exaggeration will serve.

Before everyone has a rant at him, do remember that it is HIS money, not the club's that he'd be spending.

So.... 40 million of Sky cash, cash from catering, programmes, shop, hospitality, something like 15 million from ticket sales - and you really think Mr M is bankrolling the club? I reckon he is more likely to be skimming profits.

Wait a minuite. Hunty is on 25K a week and i believe shorey signed for 28K a week when he signed a new conract in the summer. Now lets do some maths. This means he is paying hunty and shorey £2,760,000 a year alone. Now when added with the other 35 players yearly salarys, stuwards, security, police costs, hospitality staff, over heads for the stadium and training faciltiys, grounds men etc etc. Wouldnt say your getting much change off £60,000,000. No way is he skimming!!!!

At the fans forum Coppell stated the wage bill is £20 million.... So there seems to be about £40 million still to be seen.

Sorry Arch but half the problems in this country are caused by 'leaders' who fail to take responsiblity for their failures - politicians are a prime example.Seeking answers to what goes wrong and taking action are an internal matter.

Man Friday "He who laughs last laughs longest". Wonder who this will be: Liam or Seol? Wonder if either have any regrets at leaving their clubs? Liam because he'd be playing at a club in the PL next season. Seol because he'd be playing.

It was Seol.
