Are you all feeling as depressed as me ?

Well ladies & gents,

It's the 'close' season and I don't know about you but I only foresee disappointment ahead for the fans of our great club.

Every comment I hear from SC (yes, the man we fought to keep.....why?) is a dour observation about how poor;

Life is
Agents are
Players who wont honour contracts are
Our situation is

Get a fu**ing grip Steve. With you attitude everyone will be feeling suicidal come August 10th.

Everything I hear or don't hear about us in the press is negative. All our players want to leave, even the stayers are only doing so because no one else wants them.

Birmingham who see themselves as a yo yo club have already bought wisely, adding Kevin Phillips and Lee Carsley to the impressive James Mcfadden. Optimism & planning to win things the blue noses, not us however, because as Steve bleats on 'No one wants to come and play for us anyway' (cue violins).

This brings me to my final point. Scott Carson the England No.1 goalkeeper(arguably) could be on his way to Stoke ! or West Brom ?
How in the world are these clubs any different to us ?
It seems to be like the answer has to be wages/bonuses.

Why otherwise can these clubs attarct players when we supposedly can't.

I'm sorry but I don't believe anyone at RFC at present.

Will we sign anyone at all ? Probably not and of course we'll have sold half the players come August.

So what do we have to look forward to ?

Murts not bombing down the right wing as his legs wont do that anymore
No midfield ballwinners...because we've sold them all
Strikers ? Long & Lita - The 5' nothing show doing bugger all, week after week, oh but don't worry Simon Church & Robson-Kanu are on the bench if their defenders are big ?!!!!

From one who was not too despondent @ Derby in May (belieiving naiively that the club would invest and give it a real good go to get back in The Prem) I have become bitter & twisted.

Can anyone shed any joy on my Royals world ?

Get a grip you prat, just look at who Birmingam and Derby have signed today....pearson and oster (trial).

There are enough oxf*rd negative threads on HNA without another twat seeking attention.

I'm not reading all that, but the short answer is "nope".

I agree with much of what you say, although having seen this coming and chosen not to renew my season ticket home or away, I am having a bit of a chuckle at how stupid some of the absolute buffoons who were cheerleading in a car park for the man responsible for this mess are beginning to look.

I think SC knows what he's doing , im happy with the squad we have if we manage to keep most of them. Harper and Shorey could leave to generate some cash.
Im putting £50 on us to win the league because looking at the other teams around us , we are the best :P

It's a sunny day, we've lost one player from our squad, there is a month to go before the season starts, our last two games have been victories averaging 6.5 goals to nil, Royalee is slowly disappearing into a cloud of steam - what is there to be depressed about !!!

You could be a Luton fan after all ....

I'm not going anywhere, I'll just be here to say I told you so before coming back to show the club support when a proper leader takes over.

I noticed today, after Sky's on this day slot, that today is the anniversary of signing Lita.

I had it in my head that he was quite a late signing, and I'm sure others have alluded to that recently when the timing of buys have been discussed.

Back in 2005 Coppell had his squad in place today, bar the squad players Oster, Gunnarsson (which I think was delayed because of injury) and Makin.

Bloomin' hell, why let something that in all reality has absolutely no effect on your life make you so depressed.

I can understand it during a season if things aren't going well, and then only really during or after a poor performance. It's great to discuss or debate but to get depressed over, no thanks....

Not renewing your season ticket in a huff because you don't like the (twice LMA manager of the year) manager =/= being a true supporter.

According to the Official site it qoutes from the club that SSC is happy with the squad (where have I heard that one before !) but he still wants to reduce it, well with our outgoing players, no longer required, already gone, what message is that sending out........is it saying that players will still leave, Kitson, Harper most likely and Hunt and Shorey likely, that would reduce the squad but with no replacements ?

Just spotted your Brum are plotting to win things quoting the signings of Phillips and Carsley (two 35 yo free transfers) as proof. Those players are short term replacements for Muamba and Forsell who they have already lost this summer.

McFadden has been linked with moves also over the summer.

I haven't done it in a huff - I renewed in the past when we dropped down divisions and didn't stop going then, I just don't want to go and pump money into a club where the manager isn't sure he wants the job and isn't driving (or attempting to drive) the club forward in the right way.

Are you as depressed as me? No one could possibly be as knuckle biting, wall beating and foaming at the mouth as depressed as you Royalee.

Get a grip you tools and wait and see what happens - its the anticipation that makes the fans world worthwhile not the fantasy football second guesssing that you indulge in with no access to the facts. By all means start booing in September if we are shite but July is a bit early for your gloomy, sad projections to have any meaning. IMO

I do not feel depressed or even impatient but as each day goes by and I keep going into ceefax, teletext and HNA and I find absolutly nothing you feel very fed up because most other Championship sides are doing something. This is not even the way RFC usually do things because as has already been said elsewhere by this time in 2005 the squad was just about finalised. This year there must be many doubts about the line up for the Forest game and this must be a big worry for all concerned.

Possibly the best solution might be if the first movement is a player leaving and that might clear the log jam that seems to be the problem at the moment.
