Knock two noughts off that. We had Y23 to sit in, and it wasn't even half full. There were some other people (presumably scouts and families of players) in the West Stand.

There isn't an official attendance as it was free entry for STH. They didn't use turnstiles (though I arrived a few minutes after kick off, I suppose they may have been using them before kickoff).

Special mention to Jem Karacan for coming to sit with the fans in the second half.

I can't remember, tbh. Still, 200 is a LOT closer to the truth than 20,000 or even 2000.

Yes but it was like a 2pm kick off, so a lot of people were at work or school then and wouldn't spend there time persuading there boss if they can have a couple of hours off to watch Reading vs Lewes. Logically thats probably why the attendance was as low as it was.

You cant judge Mooney on 1 game though, come on give him a bit of time to settle in and get used to the standard of football He did score after all and scored a hatrick in the lewes game so must have that scoring touch about him regardless of the standard of opposition. Apparently Blackburn and Leeds were after him aswell so he must be good or catched the eye of someone as why would these teams be linked with him. Just give him time and he'll come out to be good.

Err, either I'm missing your point here - or you've quoted me for another reason - but all reserve home matches kick off now on a Wednesday @ 2pm.
I go and only watch the 1st half as I work in Theale and can get there and back in like 12mins so it works out perfectly. Personally i love it - normally on a autumn lunch I'd go to the Theale bagguette shop then go back to the office and web-it-up - so to go and watch the ressies is a real bonus

It was well taken, but Mooney missed several chances where he should have done better, and didn't have the best all-round performance.

I see where the comparisons with Doyle come from though. They have a very similar style of play, and Mooney does seem to be around his level of three years ago.
