cmonurz Arsenal 2-0 (9/1) and 3-0 (19/1) tonight.
Gone.
Though mine of Arsenal Stoke and Man Utd - £5 returning £21 - is also in jeopardy...

Tommy Youlden's Ears Now I'm not much of a betting man, but was bored at work and had a trawl around the C'Ship odds.
Was suprised to see Skybet have/had Noel Hunt at 80/1 for top scorer. Now, OK he's 7 goals behind KD, but if Doyle gets season-ended by either transfer or injury, then surely Noel has a decent shot. Given that Sky have Beattie at 10/1 and Philips at 28/1, then that looks like value to me.
Anyway, I can't be arsed to open a Sky account, but is that a decent wager?

Thomas L'Heureux Walked away with a further ton in the profit margin this weekend as I successfully backed a combination of the top four, and Reading, AZ Alkmaar, and Aderlecht as follows:
£25 on Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal returned £105.24.
£25 on Reading, AZ Alkmaar, and Anderlecht returned £75.60.
£25 on Birmingham and Oldham failed due to the latter only managing a draw.

You're a brilliant retrospective better, I'll give you that.

Do you mean because I only post about my selections after the event?
This is because I am a little uneasy towards the term 'jinx'. I don't usually tell my mates what I've backed until afterwards, let alone posting it on an internet forum.
In such a case, I'll happily paste up a copy of my betting history if you're that bothered, Mags.

Well done so far but I'm not sure that Barca are i) fielding a strong team, and ii) taking it very seriously judging by their last CL performance against Basle.

Thomas L'Heureux There was still goals though, which is the aim of the challenge. In the last round, both the Barca and Shaktar games combined had a total of 12 goals between them!

Thomas L'Heureux Another wedge in the back pocket after last night, much to Mags' 'retrospective' disgust.
£25 on Chelsea and Reading returned £42.86, whilst £25 on Wolves and Preston successfully returned £67.86.
I had the odd £5.84 left in my account, so went for an outsider of Birmingham and Chesterfield which underlined my opinion to leave the FA Cup alone, as the latter only drew with Droylsden in what was a very controversial game.
