Interesting one. Keep the match sharpness up, he'll do them a decent job. Got a lot of young players there so could do with a couple of older heads around.

A funny attitude towards the best and most consistant right back this club has ever had who has been captain of the best team in this club's history also winning another promotion and being part of the club throughout the entire rise from Div 2 over a 10/11 year period.

Murty is Mr Reading and anyone that has met him would struggle to have a bad word to say about him. I would say he's past his best now and slightly on the wind down but Murty of a few years ago is miles better than the current RB IMO.

Rosenior will improve, he's improving as we speak, Murty will never play regulary for RFC again at RB barring injury, his time is over, it's a good move for him and Charlton.

I agree with you, AP. I don't understand CB's attitude.

Good move for both Murty and Charlton.

Although it's potentially a bad move for listeners to local Charlton radio.

Whatever Charlton fans may think now, they will soon come to realise that, good or bad, Murts will always give 110%.

My gut feeling is that he will do a good job provided he suffers no further injury set backs (particularly if/when The Addicks are up against Brum or The Dingles :P ) with the move possibly becoming permanent.

Whilst I would agree that even last season Graeme was starting to slip from his peak, it really is hard to comprehend why any Reading fan would struggle to like a man who, along with his new temporary manager, embodies so much of what has brought this club huge success over the last decade.

It's no coincidence that Murty and Parkinson are our only players from this era to be granted testimonials.

I have also met him and he acted like an absolute bell end, which disappointed me, and affected my opinion of him.

Plus his performances when he has played in the last couple of years have not been a patch on what he used to be capable of.

These, added to the fact he acts like a jumped up cheerleader on the pitch and that some of his contributions in the media have been nothing short of embarrassing have led me to this conclusion.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one I guess.

Why would you expect a footballer to be otherwise? Do you expect him to be very matey to some people he doesn't know?

The Murty of 2005/2006 probably will never be bettered in my lifetime supporting Reading, and agree with AP Rosenior will probably never better that season. Its the end for him here in my view which is unfortunate.

Well you expect them to be polite and friendly.

But other than that I agree with the people supporting Murts. Seems a very bright and personable guy who has given great service to the club.

To be honest this for me whilst slightly predicted is a bit down hearting as I feel he has been one of the most loyal players I have seen play for the club who is always willing to work hard for the cause. However, he has aged and he is injury prone, something we just can't work with now and with Rosenior playing as he has done recently, there's no room in the squad for him. This is now a new promotion pushing team with most of the key players from the last campaign gone. Wouldn't be suprised if Hahnemann went soon enough aswell.
