royalexile QPR are now aparently interested in Lita. £1.3 mil.

Take the money, if Lita refuses the move then he should never play for RFC again, not so many will want to pay a massive signing on fee for a guy that has not played for 4 months, or that has an attitude of , stuff the club that pays my wages.

I could probably accept him running it down as Sidwell did, however Lita is not actually adding a damned thing to the way the team is playing, at least Sidwell was open and honest, even tho he might have handled some of it better.

RFC have already lost £1m from Sheff utd, that figure would help to pay the wages of players that want to play at RFC, which Lita does not want to do.

It seems to meet the criteria. Though if Lita wants to go on a free for more money he's going to have to tout his tallents. we know he's stated an undying pledge to us but i think when it comes to 'show us the money' he will grab it and run.

Love the passion 17Bus

Just the comments about needing to earn more really, when he was earning more in one month than most fans in a year.

it's a contract, we offered it to him, don't be so ridiculous. you sound like a moron. financially, the club is stable, we aren't going to crumble if we don't make any money on a lita transfer, and if he wants to play down his contract, then so be it, he has absolutely every right to do so. your rambling is irrational and untempered. i'd suggest you change newspapers and calm down a little.

I would still prefer Lita to go because I think we need something fresh upfront and £1.3m would be aces. But if he stays he stays. I just hope he can put in good displays.

Totally agree.

QPR being much closer than Sheff U to where I'm guessing he'd like to be based, perhaps there would be enough scope in such a fee to offer the kind of inducements he might except now rather than in the summer.

We need someone better than Lita or Long to challenge our first choices and add some variety.

Ideally we need someone better than N Hunt, so N Hunt becomes the variety off the bench. That would make Reading very strong. £1.3million for Lita would be excellent i must say.

Or even a straight million and let Leroy trouser the odd £300K to sweeten the deal.

Huntley & Palmer Shane Long will be slagged off until he actually does something with his Reading career. At the moment it equates to nothing more than Tyson or Henderson did in their time here

Neither Tyson or Henderson were given the chances that Long has had. Granted they were both under a different manager, there's no telling how Coppell would have used them if they were still here. Tyson's career has been stop-start due to his injuries but when fit is a good striker. Henderson has shown improvement since leaving Reading and either would be preferrable to Long who has made little progress in nearly 4 years. However I would still prefer Leroy to stay, let's hope his new attitude stays, after Saturday's showing from Doyle and N Hunt would Leroy be worth a start against Wolves? After all he has one hatrick against them already this season.

After Saturdays performance that someone could be Jason Scotland. No youngster I know, but a superb example of a lone striker who can hold the ball up and develop the play. He worried the life out of Duberry and Ingimarsson, a constant threat and took his goal well. I see no reason why he would not fit in to our 4-4-2, our 20 to 30 yarders pinged at him would stick and he would be a great foil for Doyle.
OK might be a bad idea but the alliteration was clever!

I mentioned Scotland the other day as someone that might improve the squad. His goal record over the last 4 years really in England and Scotland has been superb.

Perhaps someone needs to take a look at some of his old videos to check there's room in Leroy's trousers for £300k........................

The point about Coppell as ever with these issues is does he really want the team to play a bit more?
Even after Saturdays masterclass I suspect the answer is no.
A team can only progress so far with this pressing style, a point acknowledged even by Graham Taylor 30 years ago. How far depends on the effectiveness of the cental midfielders in terms of fitness and athleticism......which is why Harper continues to be selected.

Lone striker in a 4-4-2 system?
