If we don't go up Lita, Harper, S Hunt, Doyle, Bikey and poss Marek will leave along with Coppell.

It almost doesn't bear thinking about as we would have a new manager and probably half a new side. We would then officially be "in transition" with some muppet like Dowie or Taylor at the helm and a load of new signings attempting to gel whilst sliding into Norwich/Saints/Ipswich/Coventry post prem obscurity.

Wow! I was in a good mood til I typed that?!?!?!

My list was on the assumption Reading do go up.

Truth hurts though!!!

It would be a nightmare.

I will feel the same when Sir John goes, it just won't be the same, as, he would have sold it to a billionaire and all the ethos that the club has built up will be gone.

Where's the rope

It will still apply if we don't go up. That's the Catch 22 position this club is in right now.

i think marcus' future is down to him

if he can cope with being often 2nd choice keeper here, then he'll stay and provide ample back up/competition for fed for a year in the prem
if not then maybe he'll choose to leave, maybe to the states like our bobby

other wise id like to see us ship out some of the age in the squad,so possibly brynjar, but we will need more bodies in the prem, where a fit ivar would be ok as back up as would doobs IMO

murts i dont know about and will wait to see him playing a bit first, before i pronounce him having "officially lost it"

i have started to think perhaps harper has run his course for us in the last couple of games, but i like the bloke, and hope he comes and proves me wrong before the end of the season
personally id sell hunt regardless-hes getting right up me nose

Bennett, Sodje and a complete review of some of the long term loaness such as Davies at Aldershot. Either they are good enough or there not. I would have thought the following senior pros may also be considered for release: Murty, Duberry, SHunt/Doyle/Bikey (if we don't get promoted) and Gunnarson and Lita.

Unless Long starts to produce, promotion or otherwise, he will not be here next year. He had his chance at the beginning of the season, and then again when Lita went on loan.

Sad but I think it may be true!

im pretty sure that doyle, shunt and bikey are under contract for at least another 2 or 3 years. if we dont go up we cant just release them as we would have to pay them a substantial amount of compensation. however, if your trying to say that doyle, shunt and bikey would be (and in my opinion definately) up for the transfer list due to failure to get promotion, i would agree.

Possible that they will have clauses allowing them to s*indon off should we NOT get promotion! (provided that someone wants them in the first instance) Looks like shunt is staying after all then
