Depressed? No. Massively disappointed that we haven't been able to grab this division by the scruff of the neck like we have the potential to do. Unfortunately, potential gets you nowhere. Ability does, and we've shown a very sad lack of it in the 2nd half of the season.

I'd not say it's lack of ability - they've certainly got that - they're easily good enough.

It's lack of application or something like that - they just don't have the mental toughness for it.

SC has always said that he picks his teams and gives them the responsibility of playing the game - I'm afraid a significant number of this team haven't got the mental ability to accept that responsibility.

Royalee
YateleyRoyal Fecking hell.....I can't believe we've got the form team in Burnley...on a side note, gutted for Cardiff :D

IMO they play some of the best football I've seen in the Championship this season besides Swansea, not that that counts for much given how shit the league is this year.

Agreed Lee, I'm not depressed at all, we played decent football today and Birmingham actually played to the ability that they are capable of which I was totally amazed at. We will take this into the next game and hopefully make sum decent changes. Take out Harding and Rosenior they were so crap and put in Murty (we need a leader), Armstrong and for ****s sake lets start with Matejovsky as we bossed it after he came on.

You missed Armstrong limping heavily when he was presented with his award ?

I'm not convinced of the wisdom of going into a playoff game with two full backs who aren't match fit.

We "bossed" the game because we needed to push forward. It wasn't Marek's ability to boss a midfield that helped maximise the territorial advantage.

I'd rather have Murty on crutches than Rosenior the way he's playing.

Well we gave it away to these fools...

...because of...

This idiot spent more time on his back, falling over then doing anything else. IF we make it up, I pray we do not keep this carrot topped fool.

4 - The certain knowledge that the forum will be full of people certain we will win the playoffs

Yeah, that is quite depressing.

Er, yes, and probably because we're Reading fans. Not saying you're not, but what's the frickin point in being negative about it? There's not much you can do about it is there. Not unless you're a disgruntled Board member in disguise? Judge the season on its merits at the end. Until then, please Royalee, just get behind the team!

Can't understand what's so depressing about being positive about your team's chances. Happy clapper, guilty as charged.

I was there for that one. We gave it large in the first half and then 50 Tottenham boys came in just before half time. Suffice to say, "We weren't singing any more". They were Shelf lads and back in the day we all knew our place in the 'great unwashed' food chain.
