I'd think Seol was better than Kebe. But apparently Seol wanted to be nearer to the South Korean community. However, what has he done for Fulham?

True, but maybe he just wasn't suited to their style of play. He had some cracking games for us and i believe is one of the most skilful wingers we've had at the club

Seol had his detractors for his 'lack of effort' sadly though he's the only winger we've had since Little (of 05 version) who was capable of a) putting a regular decent ball in and b) scoring with either foot.

Great start to the Prem season, faded. At CCC level he'd be a star and yes he is a million miles better than Kebe, and Hunt too for that matter.

He is currently on loan to Al-Hilal, however now the season has ended he will probably go back to Fulham, wonder how long for??

This is a slightly silly argument. At the time it was right to let Seol go, the only problem was that we didn't replace him which Kebe can't be blamed for because he wasn't bought until January and even then was declared as a player for the future. I actually think that technically Seol is a better player than Park Ji-Sung but Park has the perfect player attitude while Seol clearly doesn't. Next year is make or break for Kebe and I for one am willing to give him another chance just like we did with Convey for his second season.

Don't think it was the right time at all, he was our only fit right winger at the time I believe (i think Oster was injured and Little was long term out), thus leaving us with about 30 different players used on the wing, none of which was any good.

I liked Seol, most of the "we'd rather have players who run about a lot and contribute nothing" brigade didn't and he left.

We could've certainly done with him last season.

We used 11 in all competitions, a number which I find truly astounding.
(I'm sure someone will correct me, but I trawled soccerbase for the information once)

The 11 does include Seol, who was deeply unhappy. He wasn't going to stay, so the decision should have been made to replace him.

It does include Oster, who played a decent number of games (12 plus 6 sub) and Little, who didn't (2, as a sub).

It includes Emerse Fae, for all the good he did.

It includes Halls, for the lulz, and De La Cruz, ever so slightly out of position.

It includes a truly out of position Doyle, confidence sapping with every yard he's further away from scoring.

It includes Rosenior, in a game where we shipped 7 and includes Bryn, reliable but off the pace as ever.

It includes Kebe, brought in as one to mock for the future and it includes Cox, one who is now someone else's future.

Seol >>> Kebe.

Kebe is fast and can't cross, shoot, be bothered.

Seol was quick enough could cross & shoot with either foot yet couldn't be bothered either.

At least if Seol just stood 10 yards inside the oppo's half all game we'd still get 5 good crosses in.

How ironic. It was the same out-of-position-confidence-sapping that brought about Seol's downfall in the first place*. A few difficult games upfront with not much sticking to him and the boo boys came out.

* That, and the winter.

Only a simpleton would ever attempt to argue that Kebe is/was better than Seol.

I expect that SLAMMED will be along shortly.

Seol wasn't the greatest player but in hindsight, he was miles better than that hopeless w*nker currently playing for us.

Didn't we lose Seol in a straight swap with Fulham for Rosinier? At the time we probably needed more defensive cover. Can't look back on it now and complain.

Royal With Cheese Seol when he could be arsed > Seol when he couldn't be arsed > kebe.

Seol when he could be arsed > Kebe when he's on form (e.g. Norwich) > Seol when he couldn't be arsed > Kebe on a normal day
Royal With Cheese Lock thread.

Why? Just so you can have the last say because you know you're right and no-one else's opinion matters?

Unlike most K-bashers here I think he has potential if we get the right manager to give him confidence to get his form back.

Kebe would be suited to play behind the strikers, in a free role. He's not a winger - just cos he has pace it doesn't make him a decent winger.

At the complete loss of a right winger?

Christ. Talk about cutting off nose to spite face.

I would also like it recorded that I was very much an unhappy bunny about that deal at the time, or, at the very least, when Matthew Etherington inspired West Ham to a pretty comfortable win over us a few weeks later.

Matthew fucking Etherington.
