Have spoken to my m8 Coxy - he says he would consider coming back if we came in for him, but we'd not be his first choice. HTH.

When you're Reading born and bred, have been released by them but done well in a lower division, you might be excused for wanting to come back to Reading as your first choice if they came in for you.

Not if you think you are capable of playing in the Prem and they aren't in it.

Yes, so I was correct in saying that he almost certainly won't come back here.

Depends rather heavily on whether a Prem club comes in and what chance he thinks he has of starting many games wouldn't you say?

Rather than him just refusing to come back.

Depends more on RFC wanting to sign him I'd say

I believe the youngsters say:

"Well dur!"

Given this whole conversation is based on the hypathetical assumption that we want to sign Cox.

But back in November on this thread you said:

He'll be playing Prem football come January

Well, all my info is that he's said it's 99% certain he'll go to Fulham or Spurs. He just has to decide which one he wants to join.

...so I won't be too surprised to see him back here soon!

I think Spurs aren't in the running anymore tbf.

I'm only saying what he's told me anyway - which is partially better than the conjecture that a couple of fans who've watched about 3 games all season come up with.

Definitely only partially though because in November he obviously told you he was 99% certain to go to Spurs or Fulham.

Even Jay has a better than 1% hit rate in his predictions!

I do hope that rather pathetic little swipe isn't aimed at me, given I'm not saying what WILL happen. Just arguing with people who claim to know the future and exactly what will and won't happen.
