Just gone onto ReadingWorld - it's 21:57 and the topmost report says " 'Comfortable cup win for Royals' (an hour ago)."

Anyone know where to put bets on (for the next match)

Just seen the goals on SSN. Is Bignall quick or is Bignall quick?

Sounded like it went flat towards the end, but a good result none-the-less. Looking forward to the 'Back Frm The Game' thread, if there is one.

Quick question for those in the know, can anyone tell me how much the squad tonight cost us in transfer fees? Trying to answer the question for a Sheffield United fan who insists we've spent huge amounts of money on bringing in youngsters to our academy.

Thanks.

Also saw the goals on SSN. All of them well taken. Thought Mooney's first was a very good goal, as was both of Bignall's and Siggurdsson's.

Be interested to hear what the verdict on all the players was on the BFTG thread. Armstrong getting an assist (according to RW) must help his chances. Mooney's done himself a few favours. I'd like to know if Rosenior was as poor as he sounded on the radio, or if it just seemed like he cocked up every time he got the ball.

Probably like to see Bignall go out on loan to a decent League one or two side for more experience.

rg6royal 5-1 Full Time.

Well done to the youngsters but sounded a poor second half display.

Second half would always have a job to live up to first.

My main dissapointment was that be conceded.

good hit from range with a nasty close in deflection to slightly wrong foot Hamer by the sounds (and looks) of it.

Just got back from the game. Great 1st half performance, but a little laboured in the 2nd (albeit expected after the 4 goals in the 1st half).

Standout performances for me were from Mooney (he must be played in the 1st team soon!), Bignall (could be a great sub), Harper (I think we need him to stay) and Henry (please see sense Brendan and find a 1st team position for him instead of the woeful Kebe). Siggurdsson was excellent also with a wonderful goal.

Newcastle game will be a real test, but I think we could nick a point up there! Shame that so many supporters stayed away tonight, but the club should have gone £5 per ticket.

Hamer £0
Pearce £0
Bignall £0
Mooney £200k
Armstrong £500k
Siggurdsson £0
Rosenior ~£1m
Mills ~£2m
Harper £400k
Matejovsky £1.5m
Henry £0

£5.6m +

NHunt £650k

Of course, we might have paid to get some of them in. But Pearce, Henry & Hamer have definitely been with us ages and the first two are certainly local. Henry turned down a big money move to Chelsea ages ago. Don't know much about Bignall and Siggurdsson obviously isn't a local lad.

Can't find fees for Karacan, Davies, Cox (now gone) HRK or Church either.

Strangely, I far less enjoyed this evening's game where we hit the back of the net five times than Saturday's goaless effort :| . I think that you have to take the standard of opposition very much into the context of analysing this match; Nicholas Bignall, for instance, looked paceful and purposeful but will he come up against centre-halves as cumbersome as Guy Branston and a 60 year old 'keeper like Kevin Poole in the Championship? Some woeful Burton defending saw us home and hosed inside ten minutes and apart from an absolute brahma of a 40 yarder from Sigurdsson there was very little to cheer about thereafter.

Mills - on debut - didn't exactly look £2 million pounds worth of composure, he lost out on plenty of aerial challenges. Rosenior was the worst player on the pitch and nearly cost us a goal on entirely his own making at 0-0. Sigurdsson in midfield was excellent and looks a real prospect, but on the hand Marek Matejovsky once again failed to look this class act we are always told that he is. Up front Mooney scored two - the first a smashing finish from a tight angle - but otherwise failed to shine in all honesty and Bignall showed plenty of pace and promise.....but would you really want him leading the line at St James's Park on Saturday?

Job done anyway, we're in the next round.

You must've been at a different game to me then. I thought Mooney did will but nothing more than that, Harper was tidy but also gave possession away very cheaply at times, and I thought Henry was our worst player, barring Rosenior, tonight :|.

Thanks IR. I make that £6.25m. Obviously MUCH more than Burton, but far less than the Blades fan to my left is telling me.

Not sure I agree... Thought Harps was woeful on the ball and looked pretty off the pace. Rosenior was awful, do we have any cover at right back?

The rest played very well.
