I am absolutely ecstatic, and most of what I feel has been said already so I wont burden you lot with that!

On a more negative note, Pearce has to get out the team. Absolute liability!

Chuffed to bits!!

McAnuff was outstanding today. Definite MOTM with Tabb a close second.

Did anyone else think that when Burgess' shot came out off the post in the first half that our luck was beginning to change!?! :)

Definately!.....that would've been harsh on us, and previously, it would've gone in....the players would've been booed off at half-time and the second half would've been all theirs.

a defining moment in our season methinks

agreed, been a long slog for all of us. His applause to us was as well earnt as our applause to him.

Like in the deep dark "PANTS" days of Pardew.........it all went forward after that, I sincerely believe that we are back on the up

........the difference being is..we have a whole division head-start this time.

Fed - 6 Doesn't inspire the greatest of confidence tbh
Tabb - 8.5 Playing out of position but will always give a 7 or 8 performance every week.
Pearce -7 Possibly could've done better when trying to clear for the goal but overall solid.
Ingi -7 No pre-season but is getting better with each game.
Bertrand -7 Did well defensively and got forward when possible.

Kebe -7 Got injured when jumping for a header but bravely carried on until half time shaking of the lazy tag.
Matejovsky -8 Didn't do well for the Blackpool goal but more than made up for it with the cross for Rasiak.
Sig -7 Gave his all and took his goal well.
Howard -8 Has surprised me since he joined. Looked leaner after the fitness training. Could've done better with the goal when he lost the ball in the north east corner.
Mcanuff -9 MOTM.Great duel with the Blackpool full back. Never gave up on anything. Hopefully he can perform like this on a consistent basis.

Church -7 Did ok. As has been said before he didn't play the offside well. Hard for a young player to play the lone front man.

Rasiak -8 Took the goal very well and made up for his lack of pace well.
HRK -6 Not convinced that he will make it .Needs to toughen up.
Karacan -7 Shored up the midfield late on.

Well done Rodgers we've given him some stick some deserved some maybe not. Today he got it spot on.

Isn't this positivity wonderful?

First time in a long time that it feels as though the club is moving forwards.

Let's all bask in the glory of that home win but it is now only showing that the team are finally clicking into place as a unit. We were still exposed on set pieces and their goal ripped us apart. The mood is naturally positive from that result and long may it be so. This team needs to instill that confidence in every game, not wilt and finally put the application in to get the results we can now finally see this team produce.

Very brave of Fedders at the end i might add getting clattered.

I'm a relieved and happy supporter tonight.

(sorry) the Blackpool goal did not rip us apart

for a change (a bit like Covs goal a couple of weeks ago), it actually galvanised us

This is what we pay to see

Really? One touch passing through the middle.
Mentally the team rebounded which is not what i was actually talking about.

First chance to see a game this year.
I've been now been advised by eveyone from the busdriver backwards that I now have to reprise all today's thoughts, actions, clothes wearing, everything (it can get quite personal) etc. for every game for the rest of my life, or at least the season.
(Which, given the task, will almost certainly be the longer)
Anyway, yes, I'm back from the game. I bloody enjoyed it.

I don't get why people are giving HRK a hard time? I thought once he came on and settled down he did more than what Kebe did. I mean come on, at one point he did 3 players with skill. Can you see Kebe doing that?

Great to win. Cracked open the bubbly last night.

Looks like Jobi is the man that makes Reading click. When he's on song, so are we.

Marek was, well, Marek. The most skilfull player in this division, by a mile ... but occasional moments of very bad. Personally would prefer to have Karacan clearing up behind him rather than Howard. And what a cross for the winner.

Centre backs worry me. Credit to them for weathering the late storm, but Ingi starting to look slightly shot and Pearce scares the hell out of me when he's on the ball. It's either back to Feds or an automatic pass to Marek ... and it was only Marek's great touch that prevented an almighty cock up. on a couple of occasions.

For a change, lady luck was on our side too (but teams that work really hard always seem to have a bit more fortune).

Even the moaning woman in Y19 must have enjoyed that.

Federici: 7 Good saves, but doesn't command at corners and my instinctive thought was 'Oh God it's Federici' just before the shot that came back off

Tabb: 9 Excellent in defence and attack
Pearce: 7 OK, and good backs-to-the-wall effort at the end
Ingi: 7 The odd horrific moment but sound
Bertrand: 8 Classy and focused

Kebe: 8 Won headers and beat people, while recieving passes of varying quality
Marek: 8 Most improved player ever forming a good partnership with Howard
Howard: 8 Like Marek, he keeps our defenders on their toes, but, was strong and forward looking all game
Mcanuff: 10 I suppose he shot weakly once, but I don't see how you can play better than this

Sigurdsson: 9 Why wasn't he allowed to take that free-kick. Infuential in that perfect first half-hour and scored.
Church: 7 World-class dummy and made 4411 work brilliantly. Should have scored though.

Rasiak: 7 I didn't think he had warmed up properly, but perhaps he really isn't an athlete. Great goal.
HRK: 7 Not as imposing as Kebe, but kept all the attacks going
Karacan: n/a

Rodgers: 9 When a team starts as well as we did, the tactics must have been spot on. He scared me a bit when Karacan came on, and they lined up liked a championship manager formation. All he needs now is to get one of the strikers scoring heavily.

Don't know why people are criticising Pearce. He had a good game yesterday. Got stuck in and won plenty of headers, against a difficult striker in Burgess.

Thought he did really well when he came on. Has good strength for a winger.

Blimey!! What a difference a lucky win makes! Listen to yoursleves!!! We're bloody 20th, 2 points off the bottom 3. Get a grip.

What is more important is that we now have a little 3 game unbeaten run. That should help the confidence return, and now we need back to back wins to start our season proper.

Both Barnsley and Swansea have started moving up the table following relatively decent runs after an awful start, so we must do the same. Peterborough are already looking a little lost, whilst Ipswich can't languish in the bottom 3 for much longer ... er, can they? Plymouth and Scunthorpe look as though they are struggling, so we have a great opportunity, especially as there are 6 teams on 17/18 points.

But talk of the play-offs??? Oh please!
