why the fcuk does todger play the centre backs? tbf i thought pearce was the better of the 2 this game. ivar is just pure tripe this season what the hell has happened to him?

yesterday was topped off by the fact that we got to 80 mins with me having a bet on rasiak to score first in a 1-0. I thought it was going to be one of those games where we played well, should of scored more but ended up with a 1-0 (obviously i would be 8) ) but i should of known better..........................

After watching the opposition yesterday, if we cant beat scunthorpe, we really are struggling.

Think he should really look at his backline

OUT= Ivar, Pearce, Cummings
IN = Mills, O'dea, Armstrong (play Bertrand on the left wing)

1871 Royal I have no problem with Kebe coming off the bench as his pace can be hard to handle but IMO he shouldn't be starting and keeping people like HRK out of the team. Not good enough to start.

IMO both of them should be out of the team and Henry back from his loan and in instead. Overrated, yes but at least he has the ability to put the ball in the net and cross it into the right areas. Two things neither HRK or Kebe do particularly well.

Some great posts, love how folk say keep a settled team, then call for changes.

Kebe/Long so many say they are ok from the bench, well what the team needs is players that can do 90 minutes, and put pressure on for places, not sit on the bench because they are either not fit enough, or good enough to play for 90 minutes.

I can see a busy Jan as quite a few move on to pastures new, and about time as well.

Making 1 or 2 changes =/= an unsettled team. Switching the formation and 4 or 5 personnel does. Mills in for Pearce or Ivar won't unsettle much. Neither did HRK for Kebe.

This is the same HRK who crossed for our goal yesterday?

Isolation W_R. Lets see HRK replicate that for the next 4 or 5 games. I thought he was one of the shining lights yesterday. He and Sig were our best players by far and always trying to get involved. The rest can go oxf*rd themselves.

Ian Royal And I consider the fact that our two top scorers have converted 2 of about 15 great chances in the last 4 games a pretty abysmal thing.

That can quite easily be addressed though.

if that is the case, why haven't we done it yet? after leicester in october, everyone at work told me we weren't clinical enough. Yet it is still the same 6 weeks later.

We've started scoring more goals than we were...and we haven't had a transfer window yet - quite the opposite in fact, we've had injuries to our forward line, increasing the problem, yet Rodgers is magically supposed to improve that without the tools to do so.

One cross woop de do. Did fck all for the rest of the game didn't he. Apart from looking like Kebe's younger, slower brother that is.

Henry and indeed Davies have been setting up and scoring goals regularly whilst on loan.

As soon as Hunt was diagnosed with a long term injury, BR should have got someone in or recalled either Bignall or Mooney. He dis nothing. He has had plenty of opportunity to address this. He hasn't. Whether that is down to him or those upstairs is another matter.

Wycombe Royal Thing is had we been away from home we would have comfortably won that match. At home they seem too nervous in front of goal and snatch at the efforts.

Only 4 teams have scored more goals away from home than us in the Championship - Newcastle, West Brom, Cardiff and Middlesbrough.

It is indeed a shame then that half of the season's games are at home as no-one has scored fewer at home than us.

My comment was made as a question of why can we convert the chances away from but not at home? I think if you look and listen around the stands you might see why........

The hardest result to swallow so far this season. Played well in patches. Sandman, are you so called because you bury your head in the sand all game. Kanu played well, worked hard and was unlucky to be subbed. Kebe simply is not a footballer. Take a look at their goal on iplayer. Gives the guy who crossed the ball the total freedom of Berkshire. All he had to do was make the effort of closing down his opponent but instead he backs off 3 yards. Fluffed crosses and miscontrols I can just about tolerate .. not doing simple stuff like closing down a player is unacceptable.

And lord knows how bad Mills must be not to be ahead of Pearce and Ivar. Never seen anyone so uncomfortable on the ball as Pearce. Makes Sonko look like Pele. And the way they're carved open, week after week, yet still get picked again and again.

Cummings had his best game for us, although he could hardly get any worse.

This league is so poor that we're actually not that far off being a side that I think could be capable of challenging at the top. But without some decent reinforcement in January (or perhaps a change of manager because I wouldn't trust this guy to buy a pack of cigs, let alone the new striker, midfielder and full back we need), we are in serious trouble.

Oh, and what's the betting MacAnuff will go in january if a struggling prem club happens to notice how well he's playing and tables a £2m bid?

1 assist/game is a very nice ratio indeed thank you very much. After all, according to most on here, what happens during the rest of the game is irrelevant.

Sorry but HRK isn't up to it. He looks like Kebe and plays like him as well. Both Davies and Henry are better IMO.

Let me explain slowly to you. He runs like Kebe, he crosses like Kebe and he panicks in front of goal like Kebe, i.e. He looks like Kebe. I am not and never have been a racist so don't you Bl00dy dare accuse me of being so.

'Plays like him as well' covers those things. Which he blatantly doesn't do anyway.

handbags_harris In short, the way things are going, relegation IS a possibility. You cannot fail to see that surely?

According to the stats, 'the way things are going' is not that bad. See http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html where the form over the last 8 games has us in 13th position. Of course relegation is a possibility but things are improving.
