I said I don't think it's a possibility, not that it isn't.

I hope you understand the difference.

Not really, no.

Either you think it's possible we'll get relegated or you don't. You can't say you don't think it's possible and then say it might be. You're losing any tiny shreds of credibility you may have still clung to by trying.

There is a difference between.

"I don't think we'll get relegated." and "I don't think it is a possibility."

You appear to be confusing the latter (which is what you said) with the former.

I'm afraid he has to go, though know he won't!!

21 games is long enough to have seen some improvement by any managers standards - no matter how much or little they have to work with.
To have such a defensive bench when playing at home is criminal, with only Kebe the only forward playing sub then you know you're on desperate times!

Facts speak for themselves, which clubs are below us in the league?

Peterborough - Ferguson SACKED
Plymouth - Sturrock SACKED
Sheffield Wednesday - Laws SACKED

The only reason why Rodgers is still in a job is becuase Mr Ego doesn't want to pay any compensation money!!!

This is a long-term project, but he isn't getting it right in the short-term. The long-term project to get us back into the Premier League, won't work if we get relegated. Therefore, Rodgers is the one to blame. He is the one in charge. His selection and certain transfers have baffled me.

Peterborough - Ferguson sacked, not because of results but because he'd been touting himself for other jobs.
Plymouth - Sturrock sacked after two years in charge, with the club second bottom.
Sheffield Wednesday - Laws sacked after three years, with the club in the bottom three.

Reading - Rodgers, six months into the job and having been manager for only 21 League games. At least another year required before he can be fairly judged. Fortunately, Sir John has more sense than a few impatient fans and realises Rodgers must be given more time.

If we stay up this year, i think todger will guide us to playoffs next year.

This year was always about transition, next year is when the real judgement can be laid down IMO

Ian Royal Way too simplistic a poll.

Should Rodgers go now? Probably not, but he's damn close IMO.

Should he go if we're back in the relegation zone after Boxing day? Yes.

Should he go if we lose both our next two games? Yes.

If we win one of the next two, and are still out of the relegation zone then he may as well stay out the season, because after that it'll probably be too late unless we're already sounding out replacements.

Remember last time we lost a manager when relegation threatened there was no transfer window so even though we left much later than this (too late) we could still bring in new players.

Agreed... except I missed out on "last time".

I also sympathise with Dirk's worry that we aren't guaranteed anyone better, but you get to the point when you have to do something.

I'm sure I'm not the first, and won't be the last, to point out that the bottom three clubs have all junked their manager now.

But I think we should stick with BR - there are signs of progress despite the disappointment of the last two matches, and so long as we are out of the bottom three (my only hope since the second game of the season) he should be given the chance to keep developing the squad. If nothing else, he has two positive attributes in my opinion - he's a quick learner, and he seems pretty decisive in the transfer market. Let's see where that takes us over the next couple of months.

Not even halfway through the season, results performances and goalscoring opportunities getting better, you can actually start to see what Brandon is trying to do now, and then you sack him. LOL.

I can 100% guarantee you Rodgers is here to stay, and whoever mentioned getting Coppell back needs a bullet in the head, do you remember the 2nd half of last season?

I think we need to see how this team performs with all the current strikers available and a couple of new ones. If they convert the chances we are now creating then topics like these will be a distant memory....... (oh and sort out the slow defence by bringing in Mills).

Nice Rage Against the Machine reference but I feel a course of action that's a tad too strong.

I'll give him 2 more games, if he's not improved our position after that then I'm afraid I'll be for his departure.
