Southbank Old Boy Quite often the loan fees are quite significant, I cant remember the details of Kitsons but wasnt that a few hundred thousand to get him here last season????

I didnt hear how much Howard cost, but I cant imagine the difference was much if anything between him and Harper switching

I think the deal was originally a loan exchange, then we asked how much extra we'd have to pay to get him permanantly because we had Smith money suddenly slushing around going nowhere. I believe he cost about £500k on top of Harper's loan deal.

You could be right about Rosenior and Cummings though, who was about £300k iirc.

Royal Lady I thought the money we were going to use on Smith was, instead, put towards getting Raziak and McAnuff? Certainly, if we'd got Smith, I doubt we'd have bothered to get Raziak as well.

*sigh* I got the impression that we were always going to get Rasiak and McAnuff whether we got Tommy Smith or not. Which implies that we had the money to spend on all three.

It's been aid quite a few times that those two weren't "panic" buys when TS fell through, but were in the plans all along and it was just a conincidence of timing that the sale happened on the day it did.

(If you believe that, you will believe anything. In the words of Mr. T: I pity the fool.)

That's your call, but I've been told it several times by several different people who'd know, and just because it doesn't suit your agenda is no reason for me to decide not to believe it.

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe
Dirk Gently
Smoking Kills Dancing Doe Coppell will come back for 6 months.....

Not a chance of that - never in a million, million years....

I bet Palace fans said the same. I think his ego would like it.

I guess your talking about how certain important people feel about Coppell and where he left us.

Hart would do a job.

We should have taken Pards back. Sadly JM fell for BRs routine.

No. Sadly Rodgers fell for the Chairman's routine. What's more, once bitten, twice shy means that Coppell will not want to return.

LOL that you wait until the yes vote takes the lead for the first time during the debate, before crowing.

I hope those who stay on to watch will enjoy staring at the ever increasing numbers of empty seats. There will be nothing to crow about then.

Does BR deserve more time?

More time for what? He's used the time quite productively to try to relegate us (humiliating us in the interim - Dellor/QPR/WBA). More time should definitely finish the job off.

Should BR stay?

Definitely, if we fancy League 1/2 football.

I am not as I don't fit into the Todger's school of supporter classifications which I still take great offence to. It would be interesting if a wider poll could be taken following the rant on the radio. Which side of the fence do supporters sit. I think that there would be a sizeable number who would have taken some sort of umbrage at what Todger said as well as there being a sizeable number who agreed wit him.

Boring boring. This will all be forgotten come the end of the season when we are mid table.

There are at least 10 worse teams in the division than us...

No true Reading fan would refer to the manager of his own club by a derogatory name. Or any of the playing staff for that matter.
