North Somerset Royal I noticed at Coventry they have the latest Championship & Prem scores constantly scrolling across the bottom of the screen and at half time they show highlights of the first half. That makes the whole thing of far more use. Could we not do similar?

We don't have anyone who can capture and edit footage to turn around quick enough to show highlights at half-time. Certainly it's easier when the big boys are in twon such as Sky/BBC as they do this for us from their OB truck in the carpark. We've tried it using the Mac Pro we have but still very time consuming for one of us to do during the game.

As for half-times/latest scores scrolling - always preferred showing them in full at half-time, especially when there are a few surprise scorelines that get a response. The system we have also doesn't have an option for us to add a scrolling ticker to live camera images.

No Hoops Can you hear me banging on the metal wall below you? If so I'll stop. 8)

Yes, perhaps we can introduce a code to help us with sounds levels? 2 bangs = turn it up, 3 bangs = turn it down :D

4 bangs, turn it off

Mind you while you are about Mr BTB, how come they sound systems in the concourses are not used, in football today most stay away from seats till last minute, so could some music not be piped down there, and possibly outside as well. That way when the team is read out more people would be able to hear it.

Back the Boys Heck, I still remember a pen shootout against Steve Death - scored 1 out of 10. That's what I'd like to see back at half time.

I bet you'd score a few more pens against Deathy these days, too.

Back the Boys
handbags_harris You mention you sit behind soundproofed glass BTB. Does that mean you can't hear

a) how sh*t Tom Hark actually is?
b) the embarrassing shrill noise a child makes when screaming down a mic?

Tom who? Yes, well we all have an opinion on that and we've spoken to the club at the start of the last few seasons to either change or drop. Club has the final say though. But come on, this season we had to blow dust of the old C90 cassette and quite enjoy playing it so infrequently

Change or drop? Can I suggest a change - Planet Funk's Chase the Sun? Whatch the darts on Sky and you'll hear the effect it has on people. AND it would be unique in the football PA fraternity 8)

And one more thing.

How boring is the half time penalty shoot-out thingy. Surely some competitive element could be introduced to make it worth watching as we used to have years ago. As it is it is just a bunch of kids running about kicking balls.

Not sure it would be. I'm pretty sure I've heard it played on a couple of the matches that I have watched on the FL Show.

Sorry, thoroughly confused person - to start with I wasn't sitting in my usual ST seat, then RFC took me completely by surprise by scoring, finally when I tried the Tom Hark prance I was all out of time (and all those in the Lower West didn't seem to know what I was doing anyway!). Please can I reserve judgement until we score on Sat (now that will be one to celebrate)...
