Jerry St Clair Rambling, incoherent and completely ungracious. He was torn to shreds by Gabriel Clark, ffs.

Insinuated that it was all the referee's fault, but didn't have the nads to actually say it. Grow up Rafa. Your band of multi-millionnaire's were completely outplayed. Now react like a man.

I'm not sure I agree to be honest. He was obviously seething and Clarke was desperately trying to get a controversial soundbite out of him which Rafa just about managed to avoid giving him. Under the circumstances its Rafa 1-0 Gabriel Clarke.

As interviews go Gabriel Clarke is no Michael Parkinson and Rafa is no Peter Ustinov.

Handsome Man Gabriel Clark gave him the Paxman treatment and Rafa looked a pathetic beaten man.

ITV were angry as it means they can no longer show Liverpool games on ITV1 this season

What???
IN the same way as the match was Liverpool 1-0 Reading

Gabriel Clark gave him the Paxman treatment and Rafa looked a pathetic beaten man.

He was a pathetic beaten man before the interview started. He actually looked a lot more composed at the end of the interview because Clarke thought that repeating the same question over and over without getting the answer he was looking for somehow makes him Jeremy Paxman. It doesn't and it didn't get anything of worth from Benitez.

Clark's one obvious intention was to get an obviously seething and emotional Benitez to commit to saying something controversial and news worthy. He didn't and so therefore failed in my opinion.

Royal Lady He could have given RFC a bit more credit imho - but he's a dead man walking and knows he'll be gone pretty soon. SSC for Liverpool job?

Random Bin Dipper Seen Coppell do a couple of our games now and he could hardly stop himself from bouncing up and down on his seat by the end the little cnut. Spoken like the true ex Reading manager and proto- Rooney- judas- manc- playing- career-blighted- by-LFC-Magoo lookalike that he is. Expect him to be doing a few more of our games before this seasons out.

Robbie Savage should interview Rafa.

So, some Liverpool fans have overreacted on the interwebz after a defeat? Thank god that could never happen here

SLAMMED That penalty was a heart-in-mouth moment. God did I celebrate when Sig put it away!

I was watching it with 2 of my mates - neither of them really fans of RFC.
I was mighty embarrassed.

Why were you embarrassed? I don't like diving, but it was a foul and he went down. Besides, after all the chances that we missed last night, it felt like justice.

^^^ What Southbank said!

We deserve a bit of luck! And last night we got it.

I've done nothing today but field calls from people ringing up for Schards saying Congratulations! You'd think we won the FA Cup or something!! He even got a text after the game last night from a Liverpool supporting acquaintance who said congrats and he hoped that this result was the end of Benitez.

Liverpool out of the Premier League title race, out of the FA Cup, out of the League Cup, out of the CL. If they fail to make fourth place this year - and this is quite possible the way things are going - they will be out of the CL next year. Will they be able to cover the huge losses? Especially with the way their finances are now. Could be car crash television.
