Also Jem Karacan represents Turkey.

Is this where people are born or what nationality they represent?

Good call, it's been added to the list.

Depends really, some never get to represent the country that they feel the closest to. Harper could have played for Ghana, but he said he doesn't feel Ghanian.

Harper is down as English.

Not sure about Owusu, though.

Thaumagurist* ...who came from Bulgaria?

Bobby Mihailov. Come on Spacey, that's an obvious one!!

Less obvious one, Radoslav Vasilev. The Bulgarian chap we signed over the summer. Hasn't played a game for the first team yet, but I believe quite a frequent starter in the reserves team.

Thaumagurist* I can't find the old thread that I did (I actually trawled through all 180 odd pages to see if I could find it!) which listed all the countries that our players have come from. Off the top of my head:

England
Scotland
Wales
N. Ireland
Republic of Ireland
Poland
Holland
Iceland
Malta
Jamaica
Bermuda
Trindad & Tobago
Mali
USA
Canada
Ecuador
South Korea
Australia
Hungary
Nigeria
Senegal
Cameroon
Ivory Coast
Liberia
Germany
France
Czech Republic
Bulgaria
Turkey

And now...Georgia

Have I missed off any other countries???

Maybe - but next time put them in alphabetical order. At my age I'm struggling to look up and down the list to check !!

But he was born in Slough and probably had never been to Ghana before he started playing for them....

Theonly sensible way to look at this is that a player comes from the country that means we get a new name on the list.

So Owusu is from Ghana (on the basis that if FIFA says he is Ghanaian and Owusu has chosen to represetn Ghana, and we have no one else Ghanaian then he must be Ghanaian). It is then irrelevant where Harper is from. H is technically entitled to call himself Ghanaian but we already have Ghana on the list so it doesn;t matter.

Similarly Lita is Congolese becasue he was born there and we have no other players from there.
