As he's already played some games for Watford and Portsmouth, I'm guessing that he would not be allowed to play for us this season if we were to buy him!

I'm not sure that's true - he was ready to sign and only the chance of another crack at the PL took him elsewhere

When I first read this I thought soft nose could be a euphemism?
Like Teddy Sheringham's alleged soft nose.
But now I know it's because he had it broken and its a perfectly normal nose, just all smashed up and bloody
