PLEASE don't clamour for the sacking of Capello. We had a great qualifying campaign and we've had a dip in form. Now we need continuity, to build for 2012.

Right?

If a league manager has a great two years and then a dodgy 4 games (of which only 1 has been lost) does he get sacked?

No.

Ideal I can't believe how Heskey gets on the pitch, and not Bent?

Bent's not in the squad, m8.

frimmers3 the "stick" i got when i dared to suggest ledley king was by far the better player. ah well. when in rome.....

I don't recall and stick....... everyone I know would fully agree with you

//How, when we were 3-1 down would Capello think about bringing on our striker with the worst goal-scoring record (Heskey) and ONCE AGAIN leave our stiker with the best goal-scoring record (Crouch) on the bench.........clueless

can you remind us of the "great two years" that will salve the collective brows as they gaze upon the debacle?

Flyingkiwi
Ideal So you missed the fact that he only had to chase Klose because Terry ran 10 yards upfield and miscalculated where the ball went completely?
Should have been an easy headed clearance, but he made a mess of it and it gifted Germany a goal.

I'm not defending John Terry (who, I think, is a twat); but I do take issue with your assertation that Upson is looking "world class". Klose pushed him off like a amatuer.

James was also partly at fault for that goal for getting himself stuck in no-mans-land.

Had Upson been any more physical in the position that he was in, he would have ended up with a red card. Agree that James hesitated, indeed took a step back, before finally coming to close Klose.

Sorry, but Capello has shown himself to be clueless in thsi cup campaign....starting with the selection

He said he'd only pick players on form, and players who were fit...... but bottled it at the last minute and took out-of-form and injured "bigger name" players. I lost all respect for him right then

Same sh*t different name

comeonyouroyals Its time to demote all the older players and build a new team around players like Rooney and Milner, it may bring about a few poor matches but it will give the players the experience they need for future tournements. As the commentators have just said Schweinstger has 79caps at just 25 years old and similar to Polodski.

I imagine that's what will happen. Thr issue is; what replacements are there that are likely to still be around in 4 years time?

If Premier League Player Can't Be Bothered To Play For England, Then Mybe We Should Choose Player From The Championship As WE've Change Mangers But Kept The Same Player's Again And Again No Pride.

why ignore the truth?..england are not,and will not be a world football power until the premiership is graced by domestic players. take your rosies of pal,and get real. the sun and sky tv do not world champions make. listen to an oldie grass hopper, sometimes they hit the spot....

And we shouldn't building a team around Rooney....we should be building a team around around a striker who can score at the top level.

Could someone actually tell me how many goals Rooney has scored for England (In COMPETITIVE games) please?......having a debate with mates about the stats

Going forward Germany have been superb but I can't recall England defending as badly as this before. This is the first time I can ever remember seeing England so badly beaten in the World Cup Finals.
