Fed claimed a cross then hammered it upfield, but straight at Karacan / Mills (depending on RW or SSN) and it fell to Earnshaw who got an easy poke past Fed.

Peterborough who were 2-0 down at Halftime to Huddersfield. Are now 3-2 up, with the same 3 scorers who did the comeback against us

Full time 1-1
Thought we were supposed to be cutting out the soft goals.

Distinctly underwhelming start of the season. What with the negative signs regarding signings I think I'm going to revise downwards my predictions of the playoffs to a lower mid-table position.

Saying that I think that Hunt needs to be in the team as soon as possible. That may spark something...

We all know how weak our defence is but we have now failed to score more than 1 goal in all 4 games which isn't enough, we have serious problems up front. The club needs investment or I see us slipping back into league 1 and our new found status in the higher levels of football will be gone (which is important attracting good quality players).

I for one can't fathom out how we are in such a bad financial mess, we spent nothing in the premier league, had the smallest wage budget in the league, off loaded the majority of our star players for money that surely covered their wages in said period. Us fans have supported chairman in building stadium/hotel/retail and the team. Now it seems Retail side of football club is nothing to do with RFC and it's since been moved into SJM private businesses despite RFC taking out mortgage to buy the lot. I for one am not happy about the way my club is being run.

If SJM can't afford to run the club then give it back to the people of Reading, or sell it to a decent individual. SJM saved RFC but now seems to strangling the club.

Rant over, sorry if OTT

It's just sad to see McD say that he can't even get Kish on loan. His hands really seem to be tied. Does not bode well for the future (sorry if this is on the other thread)...

And what exactly would we do with it? Who would cover the losses - personally I dont have a few million lying around...

Body language and curt comments suggest he's not happy - just reading from the script.

We wouldn't be taking money out like he has last few years, don't mind him making a few quid along the way for his investment but the last 3 years have simply taken the michael.

It's so frustrating being a well run club. You look at some clubs on the brink, some attracting England players and results going their way, and yet we can't get anyone in, half decent in key areas, but we're such a sound club.
Sorry but it doesn't add up to me. Do we just wait for the other clubs to go bankrupt, or do we take a wee risk somewhere or get nowhere?

^ Are we a well-run club if we can't afford to get a player in on loan? I'm having doubts at the moment.
