Sir Dodger Royal Brett Williams given a free transfer by Winchester City. Signed for Eastleigh and then sold to Totton FC for what was a record fee for Eastleigh. Struggled at Totton and then resigned for Eastleigh on loan August 2010.
Here are some comments by Ian Baird Eastleigh manager (Jan.2011)
BRETT Williams made it four goals in two games as Eastleigh's impressive winning streak continued at Lewes - but team boss Ian Baird (ex leeds) still thinks he is capable of scoring more.
Having struck twice in Monday's dramatic 4-2 victory over Havant & Waterlooville, the 23-year-old responded to his manager's call for greater consistency by bagging another brace in Saturday's convincing 4-1 triumph at the Dripping Pan.
That made it five victories on the bounce for the on-song Spitfires in league and cup.
But though Baird was once again impressed with Williams's handling of the lone striker's role, he reckons that if he gambled a bit more the former Winchester City and AFC Totton frontman would have even more goals.
Baird knows a thing or two about leading the line, having racked up more than 500 pro appearances for the likes of Saints, Leeds and Middlesbrough, and he is pleased that Brett Williams is at last living up to his potential.
"But is he gambling enough? I don't think so. All good strikers gamble on where they think the ball will go, whereas Brett is someone who reacts off what happens rather than before.
"He's not often in the right place at the right time.
"If you look at Brett's goals, they're nearly all good goals. You don't often see him score a little tap-in and he needs to add that to his game.
"Someone like (Swindon's former Poole Town striker) Charlie Austin looks to me to be a natural goal scorer, but there are parts of Brett's game that are better than Charlie's.
"He just needs to gamble more."
Hopefully RFC coaches can work on that if he joins the Royals. What is known as one for the future. Hopefully if he develops he will get the chance unlike Mooney.

Wizard Get the impression he may have scored in the reserves match today too. On the OS the match report says words to the effect of 'the first came after great work by Antonio', doesn't actually say Michail scored though. Of course he may have done and I'm reading too much into it

Matt de K Well that was a funking waste of time. Clearly the guy only goes to footy to get away from his wife.
He didn't really have a clue. At all.
Knows that he's a good player (for Eastleigh).
AIAH I couldn't be bothered to speak to him any more as it was like having a conversation with a 1.5yo who'd just discovered the word "yes"
