BR2 Just on Morrison I wonder if Kish's knee problems are worse than first feared so with that leaving just the three centre-backs including Ivar who is getting older and more risky a proposition this looks to be a good move by RFC.
I just hope he turns out to be better than some of our other centre-back "ones for the future" in Bennett and the big cumbersome black lad who came from non-league and I think is back at that level again.
Viveash was a good buy from Swindon (as was Tom Jones) so if he is as good as Viveash that'll do for me.

I'm not entirely sure that we won't be moving Mills on before the windows up. Just a hunch.

If you're referring to Aarron Brown then i actually think he showed a lot of promise and was far from cumbersome initially. Injuries did for him i think but i always felt he was worth a punt. He was at Aldershot i think last season.

That's the one-I saw him play a game on loan at Bournemouth and he was terrible,a bit like Sonko or a Michael Barnes on a very bad day.
You might be right about Mills-from what people write on here I don't think too many people would be that upset.

I think this may have been a case of us seeing something in this lad and realising that if we waited until the end of the season then the player would have gone elsewhere.

I also wonder if it's something like (from Mr Mad)

Mac, right now we have half-a-million to spend, but we'll be broke by the end of the season
and will have to sell, Kebe or McAnuff or Long unless we get promoted... Have a little try NOW
but come May there's likely to be more shape-shifting.

Another thing, we really seem to be setting up a VERY young squad with just a few oldies for backbone.

Ian Harte will be a miracle-player if he can still do it by the second half of next season, ditto Ingi and Gunnar.

if they are gone in the summer, that leaves an aging Griffin (Captain?), McAnuff and Tabb as the oldies?

There are a lot of youngsters Snowball, but you've ignored a few mid to late twentysomethings there as well (if they stay of course).

Kebe, Mills, Howard, Federici and Armstrong are all going to be in that bracket, plus Leigterwood and Kishanisvili if we turn their loans into perm deals at the end of the season (50/50 at the moment I think).

With the amounts of minutes they are getting at the moment, I can see Howard (please go), Tabb (stay, stay), and Khiz (Hmm...not that bothered) all going in the summer. Just my hunch.

If we can bring in Elwood, excellent...but he won't be cheap.

I think we will sell Kebe (hope I'm wrong, I'd love to have a season with him in the Prem)

Definitely think Howard is on the way out.

Armstrong too, probably. Not sure he's injury free and he's just not playing enough.

I have a strong instinct that Millsy won't be with us for years

I have a feeling that maybe Kish isn't looking worth the money (to the management)
but it's hard to see both Mills and Kish not being here.

Likely we will cash in on Feds, probably in the summer if we don't go up.

I really hope we sign Elwood, but if we end up in the POs and then miss out he might be too pricey for us.

I get the distinct impression that we signed a few oldies for stability but the long-term plan is a very young side
that will be cheap and hopefully mature into one that could MAYBE get an automatic spot.

Snowball, I agree with just about all of that.

I think Armstrong is still really some way off being a proper player again. He's been thrown in for a few games and did ok (games seemed to go on around him too much for my liking) so I'm still not sure he's going to last.

I guess the only thing that will dictate the age range of the squad is what kind of player we bring in once those players you've predicted will leave have been sold/returned/released.

I'm sure McDermott will look to bring in some experience to balance out all the youth (although if we lose Federici I'm sure the keeper will be Anderson or McArthy, not an outsider).

i think that would upset me more than any previous player sale ever
