RUMOUR - Romain Vincelot

by LoyalRoyalFan » 29 Apr 2011 12:54

A string of Championship clubs are ready to bid for Dagenham & Redbridge's goalscoring midfielder Romain Vincelot, skysports.com understands.

The Frenchman joined The Daggers in the summer initially as a full-back but, having been given his chance in midfield, the 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most dangerous midfielders in the division.

He has scored 12 goals in total for Dagenham, with seven coming since the turn of the year.

A number of clubs were already looking at Vincelot in December but his form has continued to improve and now a move to the Championship in the summer is beckoning.

Skysports.com understands that more than half-a-dozen Championship clubs are ready to bid for Vincelot, who has just over 12 months left on his current deal.

Burnley, Millwall, Reading, Ipswich and Watford are thought to be amongst the clubs keen on the Frenchman.

Rather see us give Lawson D'Ath a chance. He's going to be a top player!

Only the four times this season. He reminds me a lot of Gylfi Sigurdsson with his movement and keen eye for goal. Out of all the youngsters knocking on the door I'm really looking forward to seeing him break through the most.

Fair enough, which games where they by the way? I've not seen him yet but he sounds a really good prospect.

Not being able to get in to see many of the reserves and kids games is one of the downsides to the current set up.

I only got to see a couple of the reserve games thanks to my cousin who works at the club. I took my dad up to Hogwood for the friendly against Orient on his birthday, and he got to meet the players after and had a cake presented to him by Eamonn Dolan which was a nice touch. We also caught the QPR game at the start of the season and the derby with Swindon.
