Gutted if we lose him. But if he wont sign new deal and we can pump it up to 4million, then i guess we should take it.

I think if we sell him we'll want at the very least £2m up front. Wouldn't be surprised if Wolves are going for a relatively low upfront figure with survival add ons and a sell on clause to get that value up to £3m.

At least they'd be foolish not to try that in the first place IMO.

It looks like a matter of days before he goes. Three centre-halfs gone.

Friday's Legacy i appreciate what you're saying sarah, but you have to remember we were not a team in the top six all season. we were a mid-table team but for one fantastic and unexpected 8 match winning run that allowed us to gate-crash the play-offs. this team neads a bit more than a tweak, and now it's minus a natural leader in ingimarsson and also kish, and is likely to be minus it's main source of goals in shane long.

Thing is, we have quite a big squad relative to other Championship sides. Ingimarsson and Kish, though good players, weren't our best defenders. If we could tempt Mills, Shane Long and the others to stay then we wouldn't be that far off. The run of 8 wins meant that we had the team right at the right time - though I must admit that given our failure to beat any of the teams that went up, we do need something more, but maybe not much in the way of change.

Wolves clearly want to sign him. They will up their bid. I can see him going for an extra £500,000.

that's peanuts! I'd hold out for another £1m at least.

Agreed but £3.5 million is a good price especially as he only has 1 year (I think) left on his contract.
Its a shame if he does go. He's still young and has potential.

Who's the next player to be touted by Wolves, it's someone every oxf*rd year! Does Mick Mclaughable watch anyone else?

Really hope we manage to stave off the unwanted attention.

Obviously we would have never leaked this information.

Therefore, it must have been Wolves, who are now surely trying to unsettle Mills.

Better than going to Brighton. Don't want his ring piece being ravaged IMO.

Yeah, typical underhand tactics.

Disagree. Despite what some people think of Hammond, he has always done well negotiating sale prices for players. For a start, I give you Andy Hughes..500K. We also got a huge sum of money for the Sig. I imagine few on here would hve thought we would have got 7million for him.

I think it is likely he will go, however I would not be surprised to see him go for 5million plus. That would be very good business for the club for a good player, but one we should be able to replace t a fraction of the price.

Will be gutted to see him go, especially for less than £5-6m. I don't understand why we have to sell every year, and rebuild again for the first few months of the season, despite not really spending a great deal. In net terms it's virtually peanuts. If Mills does go we should try and get Bikey back. Or as I posted in the UR&G forum, i'd love to see us sign Majid Boughera. That would show some ambition.
