Can't see this happening. Why would Mc D sell? We've covered our loses for next season no need to sell anyone else. Selling Tabb that would make more sense.

Norfolk Royal We shouldn't forget that Brighton is a 'massive club' - according to their 6,000 or so fans - and promising players like Jem are just gagging to play for them.

Yea, they have sold over 18,000 season tickets bought Smith for £2.5m and are linked to a whole host of quality players.Ask yourself what direction are they heading compared to us with Madejski in charge ?

Financial oblivion?

How are they paying for this "investment"?

Did they get their shiny new dog bowl free?

Would be peeved. But we've a ready made replacement in Tabb. Might mean more of Howard and a better passing style instead.

Not a disaster but big mistake IMO.

Having thought about it a bit I tend to agree. Legs and Tabb are more than suitable and there's still Howard. Also Ethan Gage who is a young lad that impressed on trial last season and harbours ambitions to break into the team this season, and he's a defensive midfielder.

Id like at least £2m though and a big sell on clause.

I like Jem, a LOT, but he's replaceable (if this isn't bullshit)

Tabb is very good cover, already in-house, and we must have kids coming through, plus Gage

IF Karacan went we might replace him with a tough tackler who was more attacking/goal-scoring

Tabb in for Karacan is still weakening the side though (at least in the eyes of the manager). Maybe not massively, but it's still going with a player who couldn't get in the side last year when you lose a first choice player.

If it were the other way round, Karacan coming in for a departing Tabb, there might be an argument that the younger player will develop into the role etc but as it is Karacan has just come off a good season, is improving and should be a player we can keep the likes of Brighton from taking off us.

If McDermott has a player lined up that would've taken Karacans place anyway (perhaps that more creative influence some of us think we need alongside Legiertwood) then it's not such an issue.

We have Howard too remember.....as much as i like Karacan, he doesn't score enough goals and we need someone from the centre of the park banging them in next season.

He's 22. There's plenty of room for growth in the goalscoring department.
