Andy Griffin is in the Media office now picking up photos of himself whilst humming a bit of Bruno Mars...

What's wrong with that? Seems like some useful info :|

Red Their website is awful, although I appreciate their hand might be forced by the football league on this one, and their facebook material is all pretty :| too.

Agreed. While I have nothing against The Tilehurst End I thought it was pretty lame for RFC to facebook the "what is ambition" post as Long's transfer was imminent. It just comes across like someone is being paid purely to big up every club decision. They sure as hell won't use the majority fans opinion on selling the family silver, but they're happy to give a voice to the fans when they're saying the "right" thing.

Whereas in reality it happened the other way around and independent of the club. The article was written and published, and then RFC asked if they could link to it.

Think you might need to read that again Dirk.

He's saying the clubs FB site linked to the Tilehurst End article when the Long deal was going through, not that it was created as a bit of club propaganda.

Not sure anyone can expect the official twitter or FB to be anything other than 100% behind the club lone.

Surely that's the purpose of the clubs official press?

I appreciate that Svlad - nothing against the article which I thought was well done. It's just a bit irritating to me that the piece seemed to be featured by RFC in anticipation of unrest about the Long transfer, like they were saying "look, you might be pissed off but this fan understands how club's should be run - which I felt was somewhat using the piece out of context (almost implying that it might be a defence of player sales and no serious investment which - I think - would be a misuse of it).

But then maybe the sales are just getting to me :|

Obviously I don't expect the twitter feed or FB to be critical of the club, but there is a natural limit of credibility and I think they're skirting close to it. There's a difference between saying "We're sad to see Long go but it's a good move for him and the club" and saying "So we've sold our best player... but what is ambition anyway?"

By massive minority I'm guessing you mean tiny minority which in fact is not massive at all.

Argument invalid.
