I doubt he will, to any great extent - he's happy for us to stay in Championship - anything less than that and he knows we'll lose all our players and a lot of fans - so he'll spend in January I expect, if we're struggling, just to ensure we remain in the Champ. Morrison still not ready to step up to the plate or Brett Williams? :|

If he wants us to stay in the Championship he needs to make funds available. If he doesn't, we could well go down.

I know. That's what I said, if we're struggling come January he'll make funds available to ensure we stay up. :|

There would be an explosion in the moth population all round Berkshire if he did that.

He's already made money available for a couple of signings, it's just about getting it all done.

As the club has no ambition beyond staying financially viable, would it be possible to have the latest bank statements and interim accounts shown on the scoreboard so that some people (fans of this approach rather than fans of what goes on on the pitch) have something to cheer?

we're in talks with two players at the moment, as well as in talks with jimmy kebe about an improved contract. that will take a pay rise for one of our key players and that wont be cheap! leigertwood also cost in the region of £800,000. it's not like we aren't spending, it's just not as lavishly as some others in this division.

I think $23 USD's may be pushing the boat out a little too far for SJM

We've just received £12 million odd and seen two of our highest paid players leave the payroll. Our net spend must have been the lowest in the division for the past two years.

JM talked to the media after the game regarding club finances and player transfers, I don`t think we need to be rocket scientists to predict what was said.
read about it in the post next week.

This is actually true.

I'd rather spend 800k on a player such as that of Leigertwood's talent who has indeed enhanced our team than spend 5m on Matt Mills who spent Tues on the bench, got booked today and gave a pen away, leading his team into losing a 2-0 lead.

Simples.

Having 5000 people singing 'spend some fukking money' at you can't be easy to take.

A good shout by the East stand i thought. We're not allowed to do that in Lower West.

Nonetheless, I can't imagine him doing a Ken Bates and callling us a bunch of morons. But i could be wrong.
