Two amazing results today for the two Manchester clubs.
I'm not sure which was the most impressive but would slightly favour City as they were playing away from home against an almost full strength Spurs whereas Arsenal's was much nearer their Carling Cup side.
Credit to Fergie who I thought (for once) was magnaminous in victory.

The league table already has a familiar look to it with the top 4 quite likely to be the same come the end of the season but not necessarily in the same order.
Personally I enjoyed Liverpool's performance more than any of the others and whereas they,Man Utd and City played with real flair Chelsea ground out a result against newly promoted Norwich.
Abramavich must despair at times at the lack of exciting football produced by his robotic functional team regardless of who the manager might be and I wonder if he is edging nearer to calling it a day.

The league table is actually already boring after just three rounds of fixtures with the money already in the top 4 where it will stay.

I suggest ending it all now, auction the trophy on ebay and the highest bidder wins - that's pretty much what it is now.

Pardew's days numbered?

1609 FOOTBALL: Newcastle manager Alan Pardew on the failure to sign a striker during the transfer window: "The criticism that's going to come from not getting a striker in has some validity to it because seven months is a long time. But I can only say that from my point of view, we put the targets in front of the board and then it comes down to financial decisions, and that financial decision didn't take place."

I think City deserve the title this year. They've worked LOLong and haROFLd to get where they are now.

He's always been a canny one, Pardew, he knows he has some security there.

Got to laugh at Dalglish moaning about decisions not going Liverpools way this season. Poor old Kenny.

QPR were fantastic first half tonight. If they had a decent striker they could have been 6-0 up. Luke Young is a bit rubbish as well.

Tredder Along with Boothroyd and Adel, care to wager me a bet?

20 sheets. Three teams will have to go down. QPR will be one of them.

TBF I would have thought the same before you splashed the cash.

Fair play - I don't think you'll have much problems with staying up with the likes of SWP, Barton (if he can keep his big gay mouth shut) and your back line - Warnock seems to have them working as a unit remarkably quickly.

Perhaps the last time they were down to 9 men.

Great goals, especially Modric's opener.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that Souness is acquiring a Benaud like shade of yellow? Somewhat unnerving.

I have him on my ignore list and therefore can't see him. Him and John Barrowman. Without them the world is a better place.
