I can never see the point of keeping players against their will. If a player wants to go they will only sulk if forced to stay and then you don't get the best out of them.
The issue with RFC as always is whether any money will be reinvested.
It all depends on Jimmy. If he really wants to stay he will sign a new contract - but the question remains why he has not done that already if he wnats to remain as discussions have been going on since April/May.

Will be interesting if true. Club have said publicly they will not sell - but I have to say if it were me and Kebe will not sign a new contract today then I would probably take it.
£4m for someone that will give you one good game every five or six. I don't want to lose him but £4m is bonkers. Obita is an exciting prospect, HRK can cover as well. It's bad news if true but not devastating.

If this were true, and I think it's a big IF, then I'd let him go as well.
Unhappy players won't give you that little bit extra that you need and Kebe is a player that seems a little fragile mentally (see the way McDermott has worked hard on boosting his confidence since he took over) and I can't see him being the player we need if his hearts not quite in it.
There are a couple of knock on effects that have to be considered though (and from outside we just can't judge their impact). Will the remaining players be more effected by losing their main attacking threat? Or will having a potentially unhappy player around disrupt the squad more? A lot of what we've built over the last few years has come from being a pretty solid bunch, if that gets disrupted our lack of depth and quality just comes into play more.
If Kebe goes I think it will mean we'll see an improvement in McAnuffs form. He's been switched to the right and is less and less the main man under McDermott. If there's no Kebe then McAnuff will have to go back to being that main creative force that he was under Rodgers. Be interesting to see how that would pan out.
