McAnuff has been equally as poor and inconsistent this season yet sits on a 3 year contract......

Get shot of both of them IMHO, play with just one winger and get the two forwards going wide, I seem to recall Doyle, Kitson, Butler all getting better crosses in from wide than most wingers mange. Saw Villa at weekend and all 3 goals were crosses/passes from one for ward to the other.

Whilst McAnuff has been far from his best, he's looked significantly better than Kebe so far this season as far as I'm concerned. Although I appreciate I'm probably biased.

since he's been here in fact, as with kebe. when we negotiated mcanuff's new contract there was strong interest from forest and qpr. with kebe we haven't had to fend off any interest, and it appears we're quite happy to let his contract wind down rather than offer a wage we don't feel he's worth.

The fact that BM has been starting with Kanu and Jobi and leaving Kebe on the bench says he has known for a while that Kebe is going in Jan. In hindsight we should have got rid in the summer.

That would be a great plan if we still had Doyle, Kitson, Butler or indeed Agbonlahor/Bent. Sadly we don't and despite being consistently shit McAnuff has got more assists this season than all our strikers put together.

so probably not as consitently shit as we think

for me its more a little frustration that an obviously talented player isnt doing as well as he should.

none of us know the details of what players earn, bonuses, add-ons...contract lengths we do. He get's a 3 year deal and is 3 years older than Kebe. I'm not saying Kebe has been hard done by or the club are right to have done what they have done, merely pointing out comparisons in at attempt to show a balanced view rather than immediately assume the club are right (whatever has happened behind the scenes) which so many of the modern day, level headed, financially astute, their club can do no wrong football fan seems to jump on these days of which RFC has more than it's fair share!

prettt clear from the article, that kebe has asked for more money than the club are willing to pay currently(for anyone)
theyve said he can have more money, but for a shorter extension, or the same money for the 3 years he wants, but cant have both

seems utterly fair.

Does anyone seriously believe that Kebe is Premier League quality? Far too inconsistent to be anything other than Championship. I concede that on his day he is untouchable. His two assists against Villa in the cup amongst others testify to that. But when he has been off the pace he does not even look like a Sunday League player. If he drifted back to France I would not be surprised. He would just be another example of a player not fulfilling their potential. James Lambert anyone?
