sandman This picture being painted of the evil Feds with his pitchfork ready to strike Brian down if he's dropped while poor little Saint Alex sits on the bench shining his halo and being shoved out on loan against his will is really strange.

A picture which only you are painting, it seems :|

Federici is having a good season. The more game time we can get for McCarthy the better.

Does anyone know when the contracts expire for our 3 keepers? That may well dictate who stays and goes. If Feds were allowed to leave on a free it would free up what I would expetto be a considerable amount from the wage bill.

All three are contracted until summer 2013 - which is why this is unlikely to get sorted out until summer 2012.

I think the worry is that, while form says there is little between 'em, sticking with Feds may lose us McCarthy who promises to be a better keeper in the long run.

I'm not confident in Feds loyalty and am slightly concerned that our devotion to him may backfire, see him f// off anyway, AND lose us McCarthy as well.

It's a strange dilemma to be in when, upon removing the ‘politics’ as it were, RFC would be happy with either between the sticks.

Bandini Oh, and the Palace penalty...any recollection as to what happened shortly after he gave it away?

Wouldn't of had a penalty to save it if he'd stayed on his line and not given it away and it was so poorly hit a five year old could've saved it. First goal in that match was his fault as well.

If there's any bizarre hatred on display it's not against Federici, it's you against McCarthy.

So he saved a penalty on his third appearance for the club? That was my recollection too.

No, he is just pinpointing errors by McC in the same way people love to pinpoint Federici's. If people want to pick out faults to say why player A shouldn't be in the team then it's only fair that someone can point out the supposed faults of player B. what's good for the goose and all that.

Archie's penalty I totally agree with Baines and Dirk.

Mccarthy's a natural, get him in between the posts.

Strangely not one of the 3 of you is responsible (so far as I can tell) for team selection. So that statement is meaningless.

cmonurz Not sure why Cypry keeps pushing Andersen, can't see what relevance it has to this conversation when Andersen doesn't have a string of impressive performances behind him.

He does have a string of impressive performances, just for Bristol Rovers. Locals down here rave about him.

'get him between the posts' isn't an opinion it is a demand.

The "in my opinion we should ......" is implied in every single post on here, surely?

Even with all the mistakes that people are saying Feds makes, he's an integral part of the defence that only three teams in the Championship can better.

Ah but it's so obvious that with McC in goal no team would have a better defensive record than us!

We'd probably be about the same. Next year could be a different matter entirely though.
