These are stats that Snowball is keeping and if he wants to put the effort in fine.

Others have pointed out the flaws so no harm in that either. If people are stupid enough to just take stats on face value and then it's also up to them. It's not like these stats are being recorded anywhere or will be used in anything official so meh.

Overall

05 Reading P24 W11 D06 L07 31-22 GD = 9 39 Points = 1.625 ppg = 75 Point Season 2011-12

11 Reading P24 W08 D10 L06 35-26 GD = 9 34 Points = 1.417 ppg = 65 Point Season 2010-11

However, last season we WWD games 25-26-27 to be on 41 Points after 27 Games

Next 3 in 2011-12 are away at Cardiff, Away at Watford, Home to Hull.

Two points from those three and we remain just about on track. DDW or better would be fantastic.

Snowball, as you are clearly turned on by useless statistics, could you please tell me how many points we have amassed in this calendar year?

The stats curiously turn me on.

Well, after a string of wins. 8)

Middlesbrough were the only Championship team to take more points than us in 2011.

It's a nice stat, and quite an achievement, but not totally surprising when you consider how well we did from this time on last season and that the likes of QPR, Norwich, Swansea, Southampton and West Ham haven't been in the league for half of 2011.

The only ones that would would probably be running us close would presumably be Cardiff (they ended last season poorly though), Leeds, Burnley or, if they weren't so awful this season, Forest.

Add in last season's FA Cup and there's WWWL 4-2 including some Premiership scalps and that 1-0 defeat by Man City

That would be 91 points from 51 games, equivalent to an 82-Point 46-game season

Absolutely, it's a great record over a set of games, just a shame they aren't games from just the one season.

I've said before that our transfer policy over the last two summers is potentially costing us because we're having slow starts whilst we rebuild the team in September to December after losing key players late in the day. It's encouraging that we seem to found our form (results wise at least) earlier this season than last though. Hopefully that doesn't mean we'll lose key players this window too!

Does suggest on a whole of season basis, just picking up on your point on another thread, that a cup run isn't necessarily damaging to our form.

Someone else's point, but yeah.

I was thinking. I think we've had a fair bit of BAD luck this year. This disallowed goal at Blackpool (we might well have won)
the disallowed last-minute "winner" at Palace, Derby, and so on

I can't think off-hand that we've been gifted much by refs, had any real favourable luck.

Can anyone correct me?

If I'm right, not too hard to think we might have had 7 points more than now

Even with 46 games it wouldn't have been enough to get above QPR or Norwich last season though.

YOU COULD SAY WE GOT OUT OF JAIL AWAY AT COVENTRY AND BRISTOL. BUT IN TERMS OF REF DECISIONS OR DODGY CALLS WE ARE OWED A COUPLE.

Don't remember much about Coventry away apart from Alf making a goal for Churchy

Don't remember thinking we were lucky, particularly.

Bristol imploded but if U score 3 away from home, even more so from 2-0 down, you deserve the points

1.84 ppg = 84-85 point season

If we maintain this 19-games form we will finish on 77 or 78 points
