A win is a win and thats all that really matters at the moment. Will need to play better at Cardiff though.

Oh and "Norwich are shit, they're better than you". Seriously, fcuk off with your pathetic chants.

robbieroyal Agree totally with Snowball's comments.

Ipswich's left back Cresswell was the best left back i've seen at Mad stad this season. Think we should keep tabs on him? I see on the web tho he is attracting interest from the Premiership.

And to think he was available for a minimal tribunal set fee over the summer. I really remember Kebe causing him any trouble and the only thing he did wrong was to waste their free kick in the first half (he's scored a few previously). Certainly looks a decent prospect.

Agree with pretty much the rest of snowball's comments, although not sure I'm quite as convinced on Le Fondre as some. He's shown flashes of brilliance at times but he's also struggled to make an impact in a lot of games. I do think it's easy to get carried away with 3 points from a petty below par performance but you can't really knock a side that's just got the run o results we have.

This really was a quite dreadful game enlivened only by an enterprising half hour by Noel Hunt. The game couldn`t finish early enough for me. Why have they done away with the clock on the big screen?

The clock kept stopping, so they zapped it

SCIAG Karacan and Legs were quite poor defensively and left us vulnerable to long shots (
MOTM Pearce, even without his goal.

karacan?! was everywhere- hardly missed a tackle or a pass, covered every blade, absolutely awesome

we will never be a fluent passing team this season,

1st half of the brighton game, and even after the goal yesterday managed some lovely fluent passsing moves

Well, that was a load of absolute dross but fair play to Reading for grinding out a win. We must be a horrible team to play against; Karacan sniping at your ankles all game, Leigertwood is made out of cement I am sure, we just grind teams down. Be a good time now to invest in a new striker because the set we have is pretty average-looking and we're probably a decent front man away from being top 6 near-certainties next May.

Thought the highlight of the match was that bloke who rose from his seat, jumped up in the air and headed the ball back towards the pitch, cries of "sign him up" we're appreciated!

very tight 1st half - two teams pressing hard and closing down early, pretty dull, ipswich probably edged it, but got nowt from our defence

they had a few pot shots from outside the area but not alot else, we struggled to get anything going on the deck, not helped by the worst officials ive seen in ages

2nd half much better, started to knock it about a bit, and play out from the back which meant we kept the ball for longer,
introduction of nhunt made a difference, but th egoal was coming anyway imo.

after that we shut the game down well, and had a load of chances where we could have scored.
including twice where a late defensive lunge kept nhunt from crossing to a wide open church in the middle of their box.

Fed- not alot to do, shot stopping/distribution still great, but seems to have more command of his area recently- coming and claiming alot. 8
cummings- good defensively, couple of bits going forward in combination with kebe, but they need to work on this 7
gorkss- 8 superb
pearce - 9 didnt miss a thing at the back, on the ground, or in the air, scored again, and has started to really show his footballing ability playing our from the back- the new terry
griffin- 6 did well enough out of position, one badly short pass to mcanuff, one run where his legs let him down
ledge- 6 off day, but still did alot of good stuff
karacan-9 just brilliant- passing , tackling, running, heading, defending, attacking- i feckin love that boy
kebe- 7 good and bad, yin and yang as usual, two silly over long dribbles when easy passes were on, but still created alot and put in some decent ball
mcanuff - 7 quieter than last week, but still decent, lovely ball for the goal
church- 7 worked very hard, closed down especially well, and held th eball up nicely, won plenty in the air
ALF - 6 didnt get much opportunity, but won his fair share in the air, and held up well when he got the chance

onward and upwards- we cant win beautifully/easily every week

Yet another team who I'd swap our front two for, Church; slow, lightweight and Alf; anonymous. Not that we could afford Chopra or JET.

Yep. Church was - as per - the better of the two, but utterly unable to win key headers. ALF is a finisher.....and very little else, his all round game is barely up to Championship standard really. Neither really has the ability or skill to make a chance for themselves out of nothing.

ALF has shown some real class when I've seen him. Good link up play and passing. Set up a couple for others, including the excellent cross which set up Church's first v West Ham on a plate.

Well a wins a win. Wasn't pretty but you need to win ugly.

Thought church was our best attacker with good movement and desire I don't think alfie is up to this league. Its the average run of the mill championship game and his movement was really poor, never in space and never looking sharp. He's a good finisher if you give him the ball but his all-round game leaves a lot to be desired at this level. Karacan in the middle bottled two 50/50 challenges which was suprising...the first of which the ball then breaks to the lad who hit the bar. Passing as usual from him wasn't the best I still feel we really need a creative force next to leg. Cummings was dire first half but improved the second. Be happy to see kebe go in Jan - couple of good balls but just too inconsistent and clueless when taking people on again. Feds, griffin, gorks and pearce look to be a solid back four and were consistent throughout. The real stand out was noel hunt when he came on he completely changed the game. He was dogged, sharp and showed some good touches. Would start him up front with church at cardiff.

Agreed, we badly need a striker. Baseya is proven at this level after his domination of Reading University. How is he not getting in the side?

You cam make that face all you want, you're part of the karacan love in so im not expecting a reasonable opinion from you. You next to never criticise our players also no matter how badly they play.

I don't quite understand all this hype about JET? He missed soooooo many chances in the play offs games against us. Don't think I've ever seen him have a good game!

All I know is even when admittedly having an "off day", against an in-form team of late, we manage to get 3 points the team must be playing very well.

karacan was universally lauded as having a great game yesterday, miles better than ledge in both an attacking and defensive way, and yet you still only manage to highlight non existent negatives.
the boy was superb.
why not just say when he has a good game instead of picking out the two things that were wrong?

anything you say about my relentless positivity is mirrored by your negative moaning and whingeing.
