I had a brief conversation with Brian a few days ago and he said that Millwall wanted him, but shrugged his shoulders as if to say he didn't know, when I asked him if he was going. He can see his opportunities here are limited due to both the form of Legs and Karacan, but also the lack of a target man striker such as Long, which would allow him to fit into a 451 with Legs and Karacan behind him in central mid; when I asked if the Manager would consider playing such a formation he said yes, but that we don't have the personnel to play that way at this time.

A nice bloke, someone I think could have done a job for us, but who, I think, needs to move away and get a decent run of games at this point in his career.

Could've done a job eating all the leftover hotdogs at FT perhaps, don't rate him whatsoever

Gave the ball away a bit too easily to play in a two man midfield (and was prone to the odd seriously stupid tackle), but didn't have a good enough scoring record or the right players around him to play well in the hole. And fell over too easily.

One of those good players, who aren't quite good enough, unless they get exactly the right mix around them.

I'd hazard a guess at free, or £200k.

Howard had many chances to put the RFC shirt on game after game. He never took the the opportunity as his performances were not consistant so only one person to blame and that's the player himself.

I imagine we're paying them to take him.

Deal has appeared to have stalled.

Apparantely Howard does not think Millwall will fulfil his PL ambition and is holding out for a move to a top half PL side.

I would be very surprised if Millwall signed him. The one game that I saw him play for them was typical of all of his performances since moving to us - ie nothing! Can't tackle, can't make a simple 10 yard pass, no pace, no movement. I know people who will be watching Millwall tomorrow so will ask them if he plays and what his performance is like. If he does play then he will join them. Maybe Dagenham & Redbridge is the right level for his undoubted talent.

I doubt he'll be playing for them, his loan expired on New Years Day (unless I've missed the news he signed for them again, in which case no need to ask them).
