Optimist ALF would never get any service
That would be the false alibi the other people at the bar would give him.

Not sure if it was drink driving, but it was something drink-related. The suspicion is that Madejski wanted him out and this was the perfect excuse. Would he have sacked McGhee, Pardew or Coppell for a similar indiscretion?

Arch Having failed the first test, you'd think you'd leap at the chance of a second that might give you a better result.

Perhaps there is some truth in the assertion that most footballers are stupid!

royalexile That depends on when he had his last drink though.
Fearful of a more accurate reading perhaps. No pun.

Blood alcohol falls fairly quickly, so he was probably trying to delay them by pretending he didn't know what they were saying before doing a re-test. He was twice the legal limit, so would have had to keep them talking for an hour or so!

Ideal Disgusting behaviour.
Drinking and driving poses a clear danger to any other people on the road, and the consequences can be fatal.
His refusal to comply with the 2nd test, is further indicative of his failure to take this seriously, and his refusal to respect the law, and his disregard for human life.
If you drink and drive you have no regard for other people's life, you can easily kill several people. A car is a dangerous weapon in the hands of a drunken idiot.
Very, very disappointed. Hope he never plays for us again.

A nice measured response from our resident voice of reason and restraint.
