I thought the same when we were linked to Ferdinand and look how well that panned out, I cant see us going after Heskey he just doesnt fit the type of profile for a player that Brian goes for. Its a surprise that we're linked with Roberts too, he doesnt seem to be the type of player that we normally go for and I'm not sure how interested he'd be in proving himself at 33.

Powerhouse of a forward, hugely experienced, put in a decent shift at the weekend. Will be leaving Villa on a free this summer, at 34 will take anything offered. 1 year contract as back up to Roberts?
