philM "The Black Cats have made a late move for the England defender, just as he had been set for a switch to the Championship.
Reading, fresh with funds from their prospective new Russian owners, had agreed a deal to take Bridge - paying a substantial part of his wages."

Simon's Church From what I've heard it wasn't so much a deal for Bridge, it was a deal to get Frankie to some of our games
Could've brightened up match days for me, shame it didn't work out

gazzer, loyal royal We're after a left back, a centre half and a striker, possibly a winger.
My source didn't tell me about bridge last night, but we had enquired about the availability of a certain Ryan Bertrand

Archie's penalty You're normally pretty spot on Gaz. Just wondering if we really need a striker. Bertrand would be great.

Makes sense - I know this has been discussed elsewhere but I honestly thought he was out POTS rather than Gylfi that year*
*no disrespect to Sigurdsson of course, but he didn't play the full season
Sounds very much like Reading are in a strong position to make some significant moves, be it in this window or the next one.
