This was on Goal.com
Cant link as I'm on my phone. We could stand a chance if he is indeed unhappy there and they want to get rid. It will surely have alerted us anyway.
Hoffenheim coach Holger Stanislawski has slammed Gylfi Sigurdsson and Chinedu Obasi, after both players left the club during the January transfer window on loan.

Obasi left the side to join Bundesliga rivals Schalke until the end of the season, while Sigurdsson returned to England to play for Swansea City in a similar deal.

However, it appears unlikely that the duo will be welcomed back by Stanislawski who claims the club had no other choice but to let the two players go due to their poor attitude.

"We knew we had to let Obasi and Sigurdsson leave because they simply no longer cared to play for us," the former St Pauli man told Bild.

With both attacking players absent from the side, Hoffenheim are believed to be saving around €2.5 million in wages for the second half of the season.

LOL_ with teh standard of displays so far for swansea id imagine he may have enough options that he may not come back to us even if we got promoted

terrible man managemnet from them imo- was player of the season, last year despite hardly getting a start, and this year hasnt got a game.
no wonder they dont want to play for them any more

I play with Hoffenheim on FIFA 12, without Gylfi and Obasi they're sh*t. Gylfi played something like 10 games from the bench for them and was voted player of the season, but then get's shipped out on loan? Poor man management by their 'coach'.

This from the same team that sold Demba Ba last year for peanuts.

They are a joke of a club tbh.

They sold Gustavo to Bayern as well. Though that is slightly different I guess.

Carlos Eduardo to Rubin. Another very good player

His time there hasn't been horrible and he won't be coming to us unfortunately. Swansea to sign him up and push on big time. All falls back to that day in may im afraid, they pushed us out the way and have never looked back.

If a miracle happened and Reading got promotion this season though, that could change things.

Siggy is always going to be first choice player to bring into the club for the fans and for McDermott, but sadly i think Gylfi has outgrown Reading.

hes hardly played, forced a loan out of there himself, and fallen out with their manager- id say thats conclusively horrible.

if we went up this year i reckon we could push them for his signature- if not i agree.
though tbf if he continues his great form for swansea, i can see bigger teams coming in to buy in the summer, and then he wouldnt be playing for swansea, or us

McAnuff & one of Karacan / Leigertwood. Certainly wouldn't put Gylfi in a midfield 2 unless he's got a lot more hard working and tough tackling.

Just going on what my Swans supporting m8 said. Although he probably wasn't thinking rationally after watching his side lose at home to Norwich

you can get 25/1 on Swansea getting relegated.

Pressure will be on if they lose the next 4 games, which is totally possible IMHO, can see them ending up on 38 points if the wheels fall off like they did for us back then.

Stoke City v Swansea City Lose
Wigan Athletic v Swansea City Lose
Swansea City v Manchester City Lose
Fulham v Swansea City Lose
Swansea City v Everton draw
Tottenham Hotspur v Swansea City lose
