Speculation - Radoslaw Majewski

by loyalroyal4life » 14 Feb 2012 07:34

Interesting, not sure we would really need him, If he can't get into the Forest side how is he going to get into ours?

Polish midfielder Radoslaw Majewski is ready to quit Nottingham Forest for Reading to try and secure his place at Euro 2012

Isn't that why Tomasz Cywka joined us?

Seems like lazy journalism.

I rate him. Would be a decent punt. Wonder if he's not playing for similar contract reasons to Roberts at Blackburn?

McDermott has said previously that he might enter the loan market. Manset is on his way out, it would be a good signing

Apparently Forest have asked about Church going the other way in a loan deal for the rest of the season.

decent player, but can't really see how he fits into the system. Be a decent move for all parties IMO. Church will play because he's better than what Forest have, and might find some form.

EP repeats this today basically saying the same thing that he wants to have a chance of the Poland squad and he needs to be playing and there there could be interest from Reading. They also state that Majewski would be very keen to link up with Cywka so perhaps there could be movement in the next week or two - certainly I think an attacking midfield option and cover is essential on the run in and there's certaily nothing to lose by taking him on loan.

At the Forest end of course they are waiting to see the terms of Nigel Doughty's will to see how they are going to be left financially (think that is going to be revealed today, they could find themselves in a financial mess but I'm sure they won't).

The other thing from there is the fans laragely want to see the back of Cotterill and any new board set up there could see changes all the way down and that, of course, could restore Majewski to their squad.

So where exactly would he play in our team? - he'll just be another bench player

I agree with that, at least if Leigertwood and Karacan stay fit. I do think Majewski would be a decent signing though as he would give us a player who could come on for one of those two and give us a more creative option late in a game if we need a goal and would be a good replacement should either of the men in possession of the shirts get injured or suspended. I cannot see McDermott leaving either Ledge or Jem out of the starting line up at the moment though.

I'd rather see us grab McGugan a bit cheaply.

I know he's not having the best of seasons, but sometimes that's the best time to buy as his value has dropped and there is less demand.

If McDermott could get his hands on him and cajole his previous form out of him then we'd have one of the best attacking midfielders/wingers in the division. His goals return is pretty decent too.

just seen him coming out the Polish deli on Oxford Rd, looked like he had some Krakus Jams to me.

Not shown him around any houses yet, so i guess he might be looking more west side maybe Thurso Close area.
