All I can say is look what has happened to Doyle & Hunt since they went to that shitehole.
(still don't look right in those mucky coloured shirts)

IMHO it would be a poor career move. He is better than that.

lol@ People taking this nonsense seriously. Mcdermott has done a good job for us but has absolutely no prem experience. Wolves are in a relegation scrap and need an experienced manager to get them out of it and will be going for someone with a lot greater credentials than an up and coming rookie from the championship, what on earth possesses people to write this rubbish?

If he does go there will be reasons behind the scenes. To leave on the face of it with the club in the position we are in would be crazy but.......

So the new news is Poyet. Aspirations. Wolves saying it's only circumstantial. Legs in Wolves talking to McDermott. Wolves sources dismissing it as rumours but ............

Good. But what a stupid move that would be. They may as well start collecting their parachute payments now.

How can the Wolves attract any kind of quality managerial talent by only promising 13 games? This has "unemployed manager" written all over it. McDermott, Poyet or any other currently employed manager would be crazy to leave a job for another one which only guarantees them a contract until the end of this season.

Good point. In hindsight McD did sound a bit deflated on his first post-Anton interview. Maybe he was thinking ahead that if he didn't get us up this year, he feared the Rusky would bring in his own billy big bollocks next year? But then again equally would he survive with Wolves if he took them down.

Nah. It's ok. He's staying.

they want someone for this weekend. they wanted experience; they offered deals to both curbs and bruce until the end of the season and both favoured choices turned them down. so now they have to reconsider their targets, and the criteria they want. or do you have some names off the top of your head that are experienced and suitable? if they move to younger up an coming managers then poyet and mcdermott are top of the list, and both reportedly have held talks.

Anyone think he may be going ahead with talks to perhaps engineer more money from Anton in his contract?

Gordon strachan for starters, can't understand how he's not being linked. Didn't have an amazing time at middlesbrough but was successful before then and has lots of experience. Even as a short term replacement he would get the best out of his players. Curbishly, but apparently ruled out, keegan is around somewhere - I am sure there is a few more I can't remember. Of course even Bruce for 13 games. I am not saying they'd all be guaranteed success but what wolves need is a short term fix, someone to come in with immediate experience of the situation and install those battling qualities immediately. BMD does not have this experience yet and the situation he has been in at reading cannot be mirrored at all to wolves. It would not be a good appointment. its not me clutching at straws hoping he doesn't go because honestly he still has a lot to prove here with the new regime looking to push on. He's done well so far but we've not achieved anything as of yet. If money is available in the summer and he doesn't deliver promotion next I am sure he'll be out the door here.
